Ten Aragonese municipalities launch "Puntos Violeta" (Violet Points) against gender-based violence
Por FactBox Admin

The Government of Aragon has ordered the publication of ten collaboration agreements between the Aragonese Institute for Women and ten city councils for the implementation of “Puntos Violeta” (Violet Points) to combat gender-based violence. The ten orders, dated October 16, 2026, are published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 211, dated October 30, 2026, with official references BOA20261030013 to BOA20261030022.
The texts appear in section III, “Other Provisions and Agreements,” under the heading of the Vice Presidency of the Government and Department of Presidency, Justice, Culture and Sport. Each resolution orders the publication of the corresponding agreement following its registration in the General Registry of Agreements of the Autonomous Community of Aragon, and refers to that registry (aragon.es/registrodeconvenios) to consult the full content of the agreement. The publication is based on sections 5 and 6 of article 151 of Law 5/2021, of June 29, on the Organization and Legal Regime of the Autonomous Public Sector of Aragon, and on article 13 of Decree 57/2012, of March 7, which regulates the aforementioned registry.
The ten city councils and their orders
Each agreement was formalized with a different city council and is identified by its registration number:
- Aínsa-Sobrarbe: ORDER PJC/1578/2026, agreement 2026/6/0475.
- Alagón: ORDER PJC/1579/2026, agreement 2026/6/0470.

- Utrillas: ORDER PJC/1587/2026, agreement 2026/6/0478.
The list covers the three provinces: five councils from Huesca (Aínsa-Sobrarbe, Almudévar, Fraga, Monzón, and Sabiñánigo), three from Teruel (Alcañiz, Alcorisa, and Utrillas), and two from Zaragoza (Alagón and La Almunia de Doña Godina).
Staggered signatures between September and October
The agreements were signed by the Councilor for Presidency, Justice, Culture and Sport of the Government of Aragon and the mayor of each council on staggered dates during the autumn:
- September 16, 2026: Alagón, Alcañiz, and La Almunia de Doña Godina.
- September 21, 2026: Alcorisa and Almudévar.
- October 6, 2026: Aínsa-Sobrarbe and Sabiñánigo.
- October 8, 2026: Fraga and Utrillas.
- October 13, 2026: Monzón.
In Almudévar and Sabiñánigo, the agreement was signed by the municipal mayoress; in the rest, by the mayor. The published orders bear the signature of the vice president and counselor of Presidency, Justice, Culture and Sport, with delegation to the general technical secretary, Cristina Asensio Grijalba.
A wave of 26 agreements in four editions
This Friday’s batch closes an unusually concentrated sequence. The Official Gazette of Aragon had already published the same type of agreement for Calanda on October 23; for Andorra, Ateca, Barbastro, Borja, and Calatayud on October 26; and for Caspe, Cuarte de Huerva, Daroca, Ejea de los Caballeros, Épila, Gallur, Graus, Huesca, Jaca, and Maella on October 28.
With today’s ten resolutions, there are 26 Aragonese municipalities that have a published agreement to deploy Puntos Violeta (Purple Points), all processed via the inter-administrative collaboration agreement and registered in the General Registry of Agreements under reference 2026/6/04xx.
The deployment reaches regional capitals of demographic weight and small municipalities, extending the network of reference points against gender-based violence beyond the capitals of Zaragoza, Huesca, and Teruel, which were already included in the list. For the residents of these ten localities, the publication represents the official record of the agreement and opens the way to consult its full terms in the regional registry of agreements.
