Ten environmental agents pass the selection process and choose their destination in Cantabria

The Official Gazette of Cantabria has made public the final list of the ten individuals who have passed the selection process for entry, via competitive examination, into the Corps of Auxiliary Technicians of the Natural Environment, Scale of Environmental Agents of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria. The resolution, with reference CVE-2026-7361, is published in issue number 182 of the gazette, corresponding to Tuesday, September 22, 2026, within section 2.2 of courses, competitive examinations, and contests. The text was signed in Santander on September 16, 2026, by the Director General of Public Service, Isabel Barragán Bohigas, by delegation of the Councilor for Presidency, Justice, Security, and Administrative Simplification.

The framework of the call

The resolution concludes the selection process convened by Order PRE/138/2024, of November 7, published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 219, of November 12, and is issued in accordance with article 13 and concordant articles of the Cantabria Law 4/1993, of March 10, on the Public Service of Cantabria.

The competent body is the Directorate General of Public Service, dependent on the Councilorship of Presidency, Justice, Security, and Administrative Simplification. The resolution consists of two annexes: the first contains the nominal list of those who passed, ordered from highest to lowest total score, and the second details the offered job positions. The assignment of destinations will be carried out strictly following the order of the score obtained.

The ten candidates who passed the process

The final list, ordered from highest to lowest total score, is as follows:

• Ignacio García Alonso, 30.07500 points.
• Pablo Fernández Valle, 29.74750 points.
• Raúl Reyes Moreno, 29.05375 points.
• Aida Suárez González, 28.90375 points.

Ten destinations in five regions

Annex II offers ten positions as Natural Environment Agent, all with destination supplement level 18, group III, and a specific supplement of 21,715.18 euros per year. The destinations are distributed among five regions of the community:

• Region 1 (Camaleño, Cillórigo, Peñarrubia, Potes, and Tresviso): two positions.
• Region 2 (Cabezón de Liébana, Pesagüero, and Vega de Liébana): one position.
• Region 3 (Lamasón, Polaciones, Rionansa, and Tudanca): three positions.
• Region 5 (Campoo de Yuso, Campoo de Suso, Enmedio, Las Rozas, and Reinosa): three positions.
• Region 6 (Valdeolea, Valdeprado del Río, and Valderredible): one position.

The positions include the special services shift supplements for levels 1 and 2, as well as other special services.

Ten days to submit documentation

Applicants have a period of ten calendar days, counted from the day following the publication of the resolution, to submit the supporting documents required in the call:

• Copy of a valid National Identity Document.
• Copy of the required academic qualification or substitute academic certification.
• Sworn statement or promise of not having been sanctioned with separation from service nor sentenced to disqualification from public functions.
• Medical certificate accrediting health status.
• Copy of a Class B driver’s license.
• Copy of a Class D weapons permit, “rifled long gun”.

The application for job positions must be submitted along with the documentation; those who do not do so will be assigned to any of the non-allocated positions. Applications shall be addressed to the Selection, Provision, and Job Relations Service of the General Directorate of Public Service and shall be submitted at the General Registry of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria, at number 29 Peña Herbosa Street in Santander, or by any of the means provided for in Law 39/2015. The forms are available on the public employment portal of the Government of Cantabria.

Those who do not submit the documentation within the deadline or do not prove the requirements will be excluded and cannot be appointed as career civil servants, and their proceedings will be annulled. Against the resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Cantabria within two months, or optionally a request for reversal within one month.

Impact

The appointment of these ten agents reinforces environmental surveillance in the Cantabrian rural environment, with a special impact in the regions of Liébana, Campoo, and Valderredible, where seven of the ten offered positions are concentrated. For the candidates, the publication closes the selection phase and opens the decisive procedure: the choice of destination and documentary accreditation within a period that expires in early October.
