DGA remata 17 lotes de mercancías en abandono el 15 de octubre

The General Directorate of Customs Services (DGA) will auction 17 lots of abandoned goods on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the institution’s Central Level, located at km 4.5 of the North Highway of Managua, opposite where Rolter used to be. The call for bids was published in La Gaceta, Official Gazette No. 182 on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, under reference Reg. 2026-00959, and requires a deposit of C$30,000.00 (thirty thousand net córdobas) as an indispensable requirement to bid.

Public Auction No. 04-2026 is issued based on Title VII, Single Chapter, Article 120 of the Central American Uniform Customs Code (CAUCA IV), which empowers the DGA to dispose of goods in a state of abandonment. The notice is signed by Eddy Medrano Soto, Director General, and was issued in the city of Managua on the twenty-eighth day of the month of September 2026. The poster containing the description, base price, and location of each lot is available on the DGA website (www.dga.gob.ni) and in physical form at the Customs User Service (SAU) facilities of the Central Level.

The 17 lots and their locations

The auction is distributed across five points in the country, with merchandise ranging from scrap vehicles to textile machinery:

  • Lots 01 to 10 — Puerto Corinto Customs Administration: scrap vehicles and trucks and various wooden furniture.
  • Lots 11 and 12 — El Espino Customs Administration: folding crane, agricultural tractor, motorcycle lubricating oil, and vehicle batteries.
  • Lot 13 — Managua Customs Administration (Customs Inspectorate): scrap vehicle.
  • Lots 14 to 16 — warehouses 1 and 2 of Tipitapa: cover and glass, USB cables and cell phone chargers, and mannequins.
  • Lot 17 — DINUSA Park (formerly Blue Apparel S.A.): table, benches, and textile machines for scrap.

Deposit, accounts, and award rules

The deposit must be made at least one day prior to the auction date and the slip must be in the bidder’s name; deposits made on the day of the auction will not be accepted. Funds are to be deposited into two enabled current accounts:

  • LAFISE BANCENTRO, current account number 210200-797, named DGA Subasta.
  • BAC, current account number 35147512-4, named DGA Subasta.

Bidders who do not acquire any lot will have their deposit returned upon presenting the corresponding voucher, while for those who are successful bidders, the amount will be credited as a payment toward the value of the lot or lots. The deposit will not be returned if the successful bidder does not pay the total amount within one business day, nor if they do not withdraw the merchandise within three business days following the award.

Exhibition, schedules, and access

The exhibition of the goods to be auctioned will take place on Monday 12th, Tuesday 13th, and Wednesday 14th of October 2026, from 09:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. On the day of the sale, the attendance registration will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., and the auction of the goods will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Natural and legal persons may attend, with the exception of those bidders sanctioned in previous public auctions. Participants must comply with the sanitary, order, and respect measures indicated by the competent official to ensure that bids are made freely; otherwise, the official may remove the person or persons from the premises.

The auction represents a formal exit for merchandise remaining in customs storage without an owner to claim it, and opens a window of opportunity for importers, spare parts traders, and scrap dealers interested in vehicles, machinery, and electronic equipment at a base price. The requirement of C$30,000.00 and the deadline of one business day to pay the total awarded amount limit participation to bidders with immediate liquidity, while the three-day prior exhibition is the only instance to verify the actual condition of the lots before bidding.
