Withdrawal of the Campos del Condado photovoltaic plants in Huelva

The General Directorate of Energy Policy and Mines has accepted the withdrawal submitted by Arena Power Solar 35, S.L.U. and Arena Power Solar 33, S.L.U. regarding their applications for administrative construction authorization for the photovoltaic installations Campos del Condado VI and Campos del Condado IV, along with their evacuation infrastructures. The decision is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huelva, number 168, dated September 1, 2026.

The withdrawal entails the abandonment of the procedures to build two solar plants in the Condado region of Huelva. The acceptance by the General Directorate of Energy Policy and Mines, a body of the General State Administration, ends the administrative construction authorization procedure, an essential preliminary step for the development of any renewable generation facility.

Two solar plants abandoned in the Condado

The resolutions affect two projects promoted by companies of the Arena Power Solar group:

Both applications included, in addition to the photovoltaic installation itself, its evacuation infrastructure—that is, the lines and substations necessary to feed the generated energy into the electrical grid.

One gazette, four withdrawals

Issue number 168 of the BOP of Huelva includes, in the State Administration section, a total of four resolutions for the withdrawal of photovoltaic projects. Along with the two Campos del Condado plants, the General Directorate of Energy Policy and Mines also accepts the abandonment of two other projects:

• Ciudad de Tartessos II, promoted by Savanna Power Solar 10, S.L.U.
• Ciudad de Tartessos I, promoted by Savanna Power Solar 9, S.L.U.

The simultaneous publication of these four withdrawals in a single gazette suggests a coordinated withdrawal of solar projects in the province of Huelva.

What the withdrawal implies

Withdrawal is an administrative figure by which the promoter renounces continuing with the current authorization procedure. Once accepted by the competent body, the file is archived without a substantive resolution being issued regarding the viability of the installation.
