  • To be Spanish.
  • To be of legal age.

The municipal announcement is signed by the mayor, Basilio Martínez González, in Santa Colomba de Curueño on September 14, 2026.

Impact on the rural environment

Filling these positions affects small and dispersed municipalities, where the Justice of the Peace assumes proximity functions regarding civil matters, the civil registry, and judicial assistance. Direct designation allows for the resolution of vacancies that would otherwise remain unattended due to a lack of candidates; therefore, the neighborhood response within the fifteen-day period is decisive for the ordinary functioning of justice in these Leonese localities.
