Expansion of Gandia's tourist zone denied

The Directorate General of Trade, Craftsmanship, and Consumption of the Department of Industry, Tourism, Innovation, and Trade has denied the request to expand the declaration of the high tourist influx zone of Gandia. The decision was adopted through the Resolution of September 11, 2026, published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) number 10451, dated September 15, 2026, in section V of Announcements.
The denial is made public in accordance with Article 21 of Law 3/2011, of March 23, of the Generalitat, on trade in the Valencian Community, as well as Article 5.4 of Law 1/2004, of December 21, on commercial hours, the application of which is of a basic nature.

The high tourist influx zone is a designation that allows commercial establishments located within it to enjoy greater freedom regarding opening and closing hours.
