Defense awards ambulances, minibuses, and night vision goggles

The Official State Gazette (Boletín Oficial del Estado) number 209, dated August 26, 2026, publishes in its section V-A (Public Sector Procurement) three announcements regarding the formalization of supply contracts promoted by the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of the Interior. These concern the acquisition of TT SVB ambulances, 28-seat minibuses, and night vision goggles for the Civil Guard Air Service, with a combined value exceeding 10.2 million euros.

TT SVB Ambulances for the Army

Announcement BOE-B-2026-27804 formalizes the acquisition of TT SVB ambulances, with CPV code 34100000 (motor vehicles), through a negotiated procedure with publicity and within the framework of a framework agreement. The award took place on August 20, 2026.

Announcement BOE-B-2026-27814, promoted by the Ministry of the Interior, formalizes the acquisition of a minimum of fifteen (15) night vision goggles intended for the aircraft of the Civil Guard Air Service, with CPV code 38632000. The procedure was open and the award was resolved on April 27, 2026.

  • Awardee: NightVision Lasers Spain, S.L. (NIF B83457952), an SME headquartered in Alcobendas (Madrid).
  • Value of the selected offer: 300,000.00 euros.
  • Offers received: 2, both from SMEs.
  • Award criteria: price (70%), maintenance and repair service (20%), improvement of the delivery period (5%), and improvement of the warranty period (5%).

The Civil Guard file had its tender notice published in the OJEU on November 24, 2025, and in the BOE on December 2, 2025, and the formalization notice was sent to the OJEU on August 18, 2026.

Relevance for the sector

These three formalizations confirm the continued activity of public procurement in the field of defense and security, with opportunities for manufacturers of special vehicles and optronic equipment. The awarding of the night vision goggles to a Spanish SME further demonstrates that small and medium-sized enterprises can compete successfully in these specialized markets. The notices were signed by the Head of Economic Affairs of the Army Logistics Support Command, Joaquín Javier González del Castillo, and by the Chief General of the Economic Affairs Headquarters of the Civil Guard, Miguel Garijo Pintos.
