Daimiel announces five Local Police vacancies via open competitive examination

The Daimiel City Council has approved, via Mayoral Decree No. 2026/755 of August 26, 2026, the rules and the call for the provision, through the open entry system and by competitive examination, of five Police officer positions for the Local Police Force, belonging to the Basic Scale, Police category, subgroup C1. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real, number 167, of September 1, 2026, and the rules will be available on the notice board and on the municipal electronic office.

The positions are included in the 2025 Public Employment Offer and are endowed with the salary corresponding to group C1, two extraordinary payments, triennials, and the corresponding complementary remuneration, including a Specific Supplement of 779.92 euros/month and a Destination Supplement of 493.86 euros/month. The process is governed by Law 8/2002, of May 23, on the Coordination of Local Police of Castilla-La Mancha, Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee, and Law 4/2011, of March 10, on Public Employment of Castilla-La Mancha, among other regulations.

Applicant Requirements

To be admitted, applicants must meet a series of conditions that must be accredited before their appointment as trainee civil servants:

• Hold Spanish nationality and be at least 18 years old, without exceeding the compulsory retirement age.
• Possess a High School diploma (Bachiller), Vocational Training Technician degree, or equivalent.
• Hold driving licenses of classes B and A or A2.
• Have no criminal record for intentional crimes and not have been convicted of crimes against sexual freedom and indemnity.
• Commit to carrying weapons and using them in the cases provided for by law.

All requirements must be met on the day the application submission period ends and must be maintained throughout the selection process.

Selection System and Tests

Selection will be carried out through the open access system by competitive examination, followed by a selection course. The examination phase consists of four mandatory and eliminatory tests:

• First test: physical fitness, graded as fit or unfit.
• Second test: knowledge test, with 70 multiple-choice questions and a minimum of five points to pass.
• Third test: psychotechnical, with intelligence and personality tests.
• Fourth test: medical examination, in accordance with the exclusion table.

The final score is determined by the knowledge test, and the maximum duration of the examination phase shall not exceed six months from the first test. The order of appearance of the applicants will be determined by the letter Q, in accordance with the resolution of the General Directorate of the Public Service for 2026.

Applications and Deadlines

The application period will be twenty business days, counted from the day following the publication of the call announcement in the Official State Gazette. Applications shall be addressed to the Mayor’s Office-Presidency and may be submitted at the municipal offices, through the City Council’s electronic headquarters, or via the channels provided for in Law 39/2015, of October 1. The examination fees amount to 30.00 euros, which shall be deposited into the Corporation’s account at Globalcaja.

Against the resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the Mayor’s Office-Presidency within one month, or a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Ciudad Real within two months. The announcement appears signed by the Mayor-President, Leopoldo J. Sierra Gallardo.
