Ādaži Municipality Council determines the procedure for providing soup kitchen services in the municipality

Ādaži Municipality Council has issued binding regulations No. 26/2026 “On the Procedure for Granting Soup Kitchen Services in Ādaži Municipality”. The notice of the document was published in Latvijas Vēstnesis on September 21, 2026, in issue No. 181 (OP 2026/181), in the INSTITUTIONS/MUNICIPALITIES section, under sequence number 2. With these regulations, the municipality determines the procedure by which residents are granted soup kitchen services.

Catering support in the practice of other municipalities

The regulation of soup kitchen services is part of a broader municipal practice of establishing catering support procedures:

• Ogre Municipality Council — amendments to the binding regulations of June 26, 2025, No. 22/2025 “On Catering Allowances”, No. 13/2026 (September 2, 2026, No. 168).
• Liepāja State City Municipality Council — amendments to the binding regulations of April 18, 2024, No. 16 “Binding Regulations on Educational Catering Fee Reductions of the Liepāja State City Municipality” (August 25, 2026, No. 162).

The soup kitchen is a direct municipal social service that ensures access to hot meals for residents who need it.
