Fees per hectare for the DO Montilla-Moriles are now being collected

The Regulatory Council of the Designations of Origin “Montilla-Moriles” and “Vinagre de Montilla-Moriles” has approved the quotas corresponding to the 2026 fiscal year per registered hectare of vineyard, and its collection register is open to the public for one month with collection starting in the voluntary period. This is announced by the Institute for Cooperation with Local Treasury (I.C.H.L.) of Córdoba, through its Vice-Presidency, in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 175, dated September 10, 2026 (reference BOP-A-2026-3009).

The measure is adopted in compliance with what was agreed by Decree of August 26, 2026, and through the announcement, collective notification of the settlements contained in the register is also carried out. The competent body for management and collection is the I.C.H.L., which acts as a collaborating entity of the Local Treasury in the province.

Payment deadline and method of payment

The voluntary payment period runs from September 10, 2026, to November 10, 2026, both inclusive. Non-direct debit debts can be paid through several channels:

• Electronic banking of the entity, via the Electronic Office (https://sede.haciendalocal.es), by capturing the QR code of the payment document or following the link in the SMS or email received (Bizum, bank card, and account charge from Kutxabank).
• In person, presenting the payment slip before its expiration at the offices of the organization (bank card and Bizum) or at collaborating entities: Banco Santander, CaixaBank, Caja Rural de Baena, Caja Rural del Sur, Caja Rural de Cañete, Caja Rural de Adamuz, Caja Rural de Nueva Carteya, and Kutxabank (cash, account charge, or ATM).
• Through the Postal Network (Correos Pay).

Appeals and enforcement procedure

In accordance with Art. 13.3 of Law 2/2011, of March 25, on Agri-Food and Fisheries Quality of Andalusia, the decisions of the Regulatory Council regarding the management of quotas and mandatory fees may be challenged through administrative channels before the Department competent in agricultural and fisheries matters. Failure to pay within the deadline will trigger the opening of the collection procedure via the enforcement route (vía de apremio), with executive period surcharges, late payment interest, and, where applicable, costs.

In case of loss, destruction, or non-receipt of the document, the interested party may obtain a duplicate at the organization’s service points, including:

• Córdoba (C/ Reyes Católicos, 17), Aguilar de la Frontera (C/ Desamparados, s/n), Baena (C/ Rafael Onieva Ariza, 9) and Cabra (C/ Juan Valera, 8).
• Hinojosa del Duque (Plaza de San Juan, 4), La Carlota (C/ Julio Romero de Torres, 25 A), Lucena (C/ San Pedro, 44) and Montilla (C/ Gran Capitán, corner of S. Juan de Dios).
• Montoro (Avda. de Andalucía, 19), Palma del Río (Avda. Santa Ana, 31-2nd Floor), Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo (Plaza Santa Bárbara, 13) and Pozoblanco (Avda. Marcos Redondo, 27).
• Priego de Córdoba (C/ Isabel La Católica, 12) and Puente Genil (C/ Susana Benítez, 10).

Telephone assistance is also available at 957 498 283 and access to the Electronic Office is available via the portal www.haciendalocal.es. The announcement was signed on August 28, 2026, by the Vice President of the Organization, Ana Rosa Ruz Carpio.

The collection of these fees affects the entire wine sector of the province, which must regularize its settlements before November 10 to avoid surcharges. The public exhibition of the register guarantees the transparency of the process and allows winegrowers to know and, if applicable, appeal the fees assigned to their registered vineyards.
