Legal basis and processing
The order is based on article 50 of Law 6/2003, of December 9, on taxes, prices and regulatory levies of the Autonomous Community of Galicia, which defines private prices as the considerations obtained for the provision of services or the performance of activities under private law when, also being provided by the private sector, they are voluntarily requested by the administered parties.
Article 51 of the same law establishes that these prices are set by the corresponding departments, following a favorable report from the Department of Economy and Finance, taking into account the conditions and circumstances of the market in which they operate. The regulation further requires that the department send the regulatory project to the Department of Economy and Finance along with an economic report justifying these aspects, without prejudice to the fact that regulatory subsidies may exceptionally be applied, and mandates the publication of the regulation in the Official Gazette of Galicia.
In the case of this order, the proposal originated from the Department of Culture, Language and Youth and received a favorable report from the Department of Finance and Public Administration. The regulation bears the signature of the counselor José Carlos López Campos, in Santiago de Compostela, on September 23, 2026.
Entry into force
The sole final provision establishes that the order will enter into force on the day following its publication in the DOG, that is, on October 2, 2026. The approved prices are understood to include VAT, according to the single article of the regulation.
The text consists of a single article, a sole final provision, and an annex with the list of publications and their amounts.
Impact
The order establishes the cost to be paid by citizens and entities wishing to acquire these publications edited by the autonomous Administration, and makes public the official amounts applicable from the day following its publication in the bulletin.
