Por FactBox Admin

The Regional Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport of the Junta de Castilla y León has announced, for the 2026 financial year, grants intended to finance the pre-production, production, and distribution of feature films, documentaries, fiction, and pilots for animation and television series. The call is approved by the Order of October 7, 2026, and its summary is published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León (BOCYL) No. 197, dated October 9, 2026, with the official reference BOCYL-D-09102026-197-14 and the identifier BDNS 933894.
Competitive bidding and regulatory bases
The call is processed under a competitive bidding regime and aims to contribute to the encouragement and promotion of the cinematographic and audiovisual sector of the Community of Castilla y León, through support for investments promoted by private natural or legal persons acting as audiovisual producers.
The bases governing this line are Order CYT/788/2020, of August 21, published in BOCYL No. 176, of August 26, which has been modified by Order CYT/662/2023, of May 19 (BOCYL No. 100, of May 26) and by Order CYT/314/2024, of April 11 (BOCYL No. 76, of April 18).
The summary is disseminated in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, and the full text can be consulted in the National Database of Subsidies and on the electronic office of the regional Administration.
Who can apply for the aid
- Companies, private natural or legal persons, who are cinematographic or audiovisual producers and have a permanent domicile or registered office, or a branch or permanent establishment open to the public, in Castilla y León.
- Groupings of companies, private natural or legal persons, or any other economic unit or separate asset, even without legal personality, provided that at least one of them is located in the Community.
- In the case of groupings, each member will also be considered a beneficiary, and a representative with sufficient powers to fulfill the obligations derived from the grant must be appointed.
Amount, limits, and application deadline
- The beneficiary must finance at least 10% of the total amount of the subsidized activity with their own resources.
- No grant may exceed 50% of the total budget of the requested phase or phases of the project.
- The maximum limit per project is set at 60,000 euros.
- The deadline for submitting applications is fifteen business days starting from the day following the publication of the summary in the BOCYL.
The order was signed in Valladolid on October 7, 2026, by the Regional Minister of Culture, Tourism and Sport, José Alberto Díaz Pico.
The call for applications comes at a time when the Castilian and Leonese audiovisual sector is seeking to consolidate its own production capacity, and it offers production companies in the Community a stable framework to finance both project development and distribution. The limit of 60,000 euros per project and the requirement for 10% co-financing direct the grants toward already established business structures, while the deadline of fifteen business days forces interested parties to prepare their documentation quickly.
