Culture grants 499,794 euros to seven unique tourism projects

The Regional Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Sport of the Regional Government of Castilla y León has resolved the call for grants aimed at non-profit entities to finance unique tourism activities with regional impact in 2026, with 499,794.26 euros awarded to seven projects. The decision is formalized in Order CYT/916/2026, of September 15, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León no. 183, of September 21, 2026 (reference BOCYL-D-21092026-183-22). The same document records the denial of 58 applications.

The order is issued under the regulatory bases established by Order CYT/310/2024, of April 11 (B.O.C. y L. no. 76, of April 18, 2024) and the call approved by the Order of May 8, 2026 of the same ministry (extract in B.O.C. y L. no. 90, of May 14, 2026). The expenditure is charged to the budgetary application 10.05.432A01.780.1F.0 of the General Budgets of the Community for 2024, extended for 2026 by Decree 23/2025, of December 30. The resolution bears the signature of the regional minister José Alberto Díaz Pico and is dated in Valladolid on September 15, 2026, following the report of the Valuation Commission.

The seven subsidized projects

• Convento de Santa María Magdalena (Salamanca), file ESAL/26/SA/0002: “San Juan de la Cruz Exhibition. High-flying Hope”, 79,714.29 euros.
• Asociación de Asadores de Lechazo de Castilla y León (Valladolid), ESAL/26/VA/0003: “Traditions and landscapes of the roasted suckling lamb of Castilla y León”, 79,714.29 euros.
• Asociación Cultural Sinodal de Aguilafuente (Segovia), ESAL/26/SG/0002: Sinodal Festival of Aguilafuente 2026, 41,374.38 euros.
• Asociación Rutas del Vino de Castilla y León (Burgos), ESAL/26/BU/0004: regional network of family, sensory and intelligent wine tourism of the Wine Routes of Castilla y León, 89,999.99 euros.
• Asociación de Posadas Reales de Castilla y León (Valladolid), ESAL/26/VA/0010: “The Hidden Luxury of Spain”, 88,714.29 euros.
• Colectivo de Mujeres Creadoras (Burgos), ESAL/26/BU/0008: “Kingdom of Castile: creation and history of a people”, 32,848.45 euros.
• Asociación de Campos de Golf de Castilla y León (Salamanca), ESAL/26/SA/0007: “Castilla y León, Golf Destination”, 87,428.57 euros.

The beneficiary entities come from six provinces—Salamanca, Valladolid, Segovia, Burgos and their respective surroundings—and their projects range from wine tourism and sports tourism to religious heritage and cultural creation.

One denial due to address and 57 due to scoring

Annex II contains a single application rejected for not having a registered office in Castilla y León: that of the Asociación Estación Biológica Cantábrica (León), file ESAL/26/LE/0009, with the project “Neveros: an environmental interpretation fan and reading of the Cantabrian landscape,” as its headquarters are located in Santo Adriano (Asturias).

Annex III lists 57 applications denied for not reaching the minimum score, with ratings ranging between 24 and 46 points. Among them are:

• Cabildo Concatedral de Soria, ESAL/26/SO/0002, 46 points.
• Asociación Amigos de las Bodegas y el Castillo (Soria), ESAL/26/SO/0008, 46 points.
• Asociación de la Cuna al Sepulcro (Ávila), ESAL/26/AV/0003, 46 points.
• Asociación Descubre Palencia, ESAL/26/PA/0004, 46 points.

100% Advance and Calendar of Obligations

• Advance of 100% of the granted subsidy, upon request by the beneficiary entity.
• Execution of the subsidized activities: from January 1 to November 30, 2026, both inclusive.
• Submission of supporting documentation: until December 31, 2026.
• Optional appeal for reversal before the competent regional ministry for tourism: deadline of one month.
• Contentious-administrative appeal before the Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Castilla y León, based in Valladolid: deadline of two months.

The resolution ends the administrative route and exhausts the granting procedure, meaning that entities that did not obtain aid can only appeal through the indicated channels. For the sector, the order represents an injection of nearly half a million euros into tourism promotion projects distributed across the territory and confirms a threshold of demand that has excluded the vast majority of applicants: 58 of the 65 requests submitted.
