Por FactBox Admin

The Local Government Board of the Cuenca City Council, in an ordinary session held on August 25, 2026, approved the correction of errors in the rules for the provision of two Local Police positions through the internal promotion system, which replace those published on August 14, 2026. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cuenca number 99, dated August 28, 2026, under reference NO. 2062.

The call is part of the Specific Public Employment Offer for the year 2026, published in the BOP of Cuenca number 86, dated July 29, 2026. The positions are classified in the Basic Scale, Police category, of the Local Police Corps, in subgroup C1 of article 76 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, which approves the revised text of the Law of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee.

Requirements and recipients

The process is aimed at career civil servants of the Mobility Agents corps (or Traffic and Mobility Agents) of the Cuenca City Council, classified in group C, subgroup C2. Applicants must meet, among others, the following requirements:

  • Hold Spanish nationality and be at least 18 years old, without exceeding the compulsory retirement age.
  • Hold a High School diploma (Bachiller), Vocational Training Technician degree or equivalent, or prove five years of seniority as a Mobility Agent with a specific course from the Citizen Protection School of Castilla-La Mancha, or ten years of seniority in the position.
  • Have served for at least two years as a career civil servant in the Mobility Agents corps.
  • Hold driving licenses of classes B and A or A2, and have no criminal record for intentional crimes.

Deadline and processing

Applications must be submitted mandatorily through the City Council’s electronic office, addressed to the Mayor’s Office-Presidency. The deadline will be 20 business days, counted from the day following the publication of the call announcement in the Official State Gazette. The examination fees amount to 14.49 euros, to be deposited into the Unicaja account ES26 2103 7403 1100 3000 3814.

Selection system

Selection will be carried out through a competition-examination (concurso-oposición) system, with an examination phase prior to the competition phase and a subsequent selective course. The examination phase consists of four mandatory and eliminatory tests:

  • First test: physical fitness, graded as fit or unfit.
  • Second test: knowledge test of 75 questions, with a penalty of one-quarter of the value for each wrong answer.
  • Third test: psychotechnical, with general intelligence and aptitude tests.
  • Fourth test: medical examination, in accordance with the exclusion table of Annex III.

The Qualifying Board will be composed of a president, a secretary with a voice but no vote, and four members, among whom will be the head of the Local Police and an official proposed by the Ministry of Finance, Public Administrations and Digital Transformation of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha. The positions not filled by this shift will pass to the open shift.

The correction of errors guarantees the legal certainty of the process and opens the door to the internal promotion of mobility agents, reinforcing the Cuenca Local Police force at a time when citizen security and urban mobility demand qualified personnel.
