Cuacos de Yuste tenders the energy efficiency of CEIP Jeromín for 45,410 euros

The City Council of Cuacos de Yuste (Cáceres) has called for the procurement process for the energy efficiency improvement works at CEIP Jeromín, with a total price of 45,410.05 euros. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres number 0170, dated September 4, 2026, in Section I of Local Administration, and is signed by the deputy mayor Antonio Hernández García.

The action is processed as a minor works contract under Article 118 of Law 9/2017, of November 8, on Public Sector Contracts, with ordinary processing and award based solely on the price criterion. The file, number 2015/2026, is part of the grant program for energy efficiency works in educational buildings intended for local entities in Extremadura, co-financed by the European Union within the framework of the ERDF Program 2021/2027.

Object and scope of the works

The contract, with an execution period of two months from the signing of the layout act, comprises several actions on the public school located at Avenida de la Constitución s/n:

• Replacement of glass in the hallway of building 1.
• Installation of a more efficient oil boiler.
• Supplementation and replacement of interior lighting.
• Solar photovoltaic installation for self-consumption.
• Legalization of installations, construction waste management, and health and safety.

The technical project was drafted in July 2025 by the industrial technical engineer Francisco Javier Gil Aparicio, member number 376, and endorsed with number CC01132/25 by the College of Expert and Industrial Technical Engineers of Cáceres on November 4, 2025. The work was approved by Mayoral Resolution 2025-0207, dated November 20, 2025.

Financing and budget

The City Council received a grant of 38,849.77 euros via Resolution of June 27, 2025, from the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Education, Science and Vocational Training, under Decree 95/2024. The budget is broken down as follows:

• Execution material budget: 31,536.95 euros.
• General expenses (13%): 4,099.80 euros.
• Industrial profit (6%): 1,892.22 euros.
• Estimated contract value: 37,528.97 euros.
• VAT (21%): 7,881.08 euros.
• Total contract price: 45,410.05 euros.

The intervention responds to the high thermal transmittance of the current windows and doors, made of aluminum and single glass, and an obsolete boiler with an efficiency of 80%, whose diesel consumption represents 84.12% of the center’s total energy cost.

Deadlines and submission of bids

Interested companies may submit their bids from the publication of the announcement in the BOP of Cáceres until Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. The opening of bids will take place on Thursday, September 17, at 12:30 p.m. Documentation can be obtained at the General Administration of the City Council, at Plaza de España 1, or through the contractor profile at www.cuacosdeyuste.es, with an information deadline of September 10, 2026.

The tender opens an opportunity for local construction companies in the La Vera region, which may apply for a public works contract focused on the energy transition of educational centers, resulting in consumption savings and improved thermal comfort for the school community of CEIP Jeromín.
