Por FactBox Admin

The Crevillent City Council has approved the call for grants on a competitive basis aimed at promoting accessibility inside homes and in public buildings within the municipality, with a total budget of 40,000 euros for the 2026 fiscal year. The summary of the guidelines and the call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante, number 174, dated September 14, 2026, under official reference 6966.
The call was approved by agreement of the Local Government Board on September 3, 2026, and is identified in the National Grants Database with the code BDNS 928762. The full text of the guidelines can be consulted on the council’s electronic office and the municipal website.
Purpose and Beneficiaries
The grants are aimed at contributing to the removal of architectural barriers in the habitual or permanent residence where elderly people or people with disabilities reside, in order to favor their permanence in their environment. Both building transformations and accessibility works inside the home are subsidized, including ramps, stairlifts, elevators, vertical lifts, electronic communication elements, and the replacement of bathtubs with shower trays.
The following may be beneficiaries:
- Owners of buildings, homeowners’ associations, and property communities of collective multi-story residential buildings.
- Owners of public buildings within the municipality.
- Non-collective residential buildings located in Crevillent that are more than fifteen years old.
- In all cases, at least one person over 65 years of age or a person with functional diversity must habitually reside there.
Amount of Grants
The grant to be awarded will be 70 percent of the cost of each action, with a maximum limit of 5,000 euros per action. For non-collective housing and the acquisition of tools and technical aids, the percentage ranges between 100% and 20% depending on the income of the Coexisting Economic Unit and the number of its members.
Specific limits are also established by type of action:
- Installation of mechanical elements: maximum of 5,000 euros.
- Installation of ramps: maximum of 2,000 euros.
- Replacement of bathtub with shower tray: maximum of 1,000 euros.
Deadline and Documentation
The deadline for submitting applications will be 15 business days, counting from the day following the publication of the summary in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante. Applications shall be submitted through the City Council’s electronic office or via the registry, and any application not registered within the deadline and in the proper form will be dismissed.
The required documentation includes the NIF or CIF of the preceptor, the minutes of the community meeting with the approved agreement for the actions, proof of being up to date with tax and Social Security obligations, the budget broken down by items, a photographic report of the affected areas and, in the case of major works, the project signed by a competent qualified technician and endorsed by their professional association.
The call, signed by the mayor-president of the Most Excellent City Council of Crevillent, Lourdes Aznar Miralles, dated September 10, 2026, represents a significant boost for the autonomy of elderly people and people with functional diversity in the municipality, by facilitating their ability to remain in their homes and usual environments without barriers that limit their mobility.
