Extraordinary credit raises the provincial budget to 120 million

The Provincial Council of Ávila has definitively approved the Extraordinary Credit 3-2026 file, which sets the provincial budget at 120,133,629.49 euros in expenditures and 120,133,629.79 euros in revenues. The agreement, signed by president Carlos García González in Ávila on September 2, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ávila number 1788/26, dated September 8, 2026, in the Provincial Administration section, Audit department.

The announcement, issued by the corporation’s Audit department, publicizes the budget once the final approval process has been completed. A contentious-administrative appeal may be filed directly against this agreement in the form and within the timeframes established by the rules of said jurisdiction.

A budget rebalanced by chapters

The document summarizes the budget by chapters, both for expenditures and revenues, with a total that remains balanced around 120.1 million euros. The largest expenditure item corresponds to chapter 2, with 27,311,677.28 euros, followed by chapter 6, with 28,465,383.36 euros allocated to real investments.

In the revenue chapter, chapter 4 stands out, with 78,355,657.66 euros coming from current transfers, which constitutes the main source of financing for the provincial corporation.

• Revenues: chapter 1, 3,306,912.93 €; chapter 2, 3,188,322.20 €; chapter 3, 3,464,900.00 €; chapter 4, 78,355,657.66 €; chapter 5, 935,000.00 €; chapter 7, 8,366,213.24 €; chapter 8, 22,516,623.76 €.

Relevance for the province

The final approval of Extraordinary Credit 3-2026 allows the Council of Ávila to have additional resources to finance provincial services and works, with a strong commitment to real investments and capital transfers, which together exceed 48 million euros. With the publication in the official gazette, the budget comes into effect and opens the way for the execution of the programs planned for the fiscal year, as well as the filing of appeals by those who consider themselves affected.
