Cosío extends the bidding deadline for a non-trophy deer

The Cosío Neighborhood Council has extended by ten days the deadline for submitting bids in the auction of a hunting permit for a non-trophy deer stalk in the Saja Regional Hunting Reserve, corresponding to the 2026/2027 season. The measure is formalized through a correction of errors published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 181, dated September 21, 2026, with reference CVE-2026-7278, which also sets the opening of envelopes for September 26 at 2:00 PM at the Council’s premises.

The original tender announcement was published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 165, dated August 27, 2026, with reference CVE-2026-6764, and was signed in Cosío on August 4, 2026, by the village mayor, Pedro Manuel González Olcoz. The now-published correction, signed on September 16, 2026, by the president, Pedro González Olcoz, rectifies the absence of annexes I and II in the administrative specifications governing the auction, which are incorporated with this announcement.

An auction with a starting fee of 1,000 euros

The object of the contract is the disposal of a single hunting permit in the mountains of the Cosío Neighborhood Council, within the municipality of Rionansa, for the 2026/2027 season. The economic and award conditions are as follows:

• Modality: deer stalk, non-trophy male, single permit.
• Award method: auction, with the highest price as the sole criterion.
• Starting fee: 1,000.00 euros.
• Required guarantee: none.

Natural persons, national or foreign, with full capacity to act and contract with the Public Administration, who are not debtors to the entity nor incur prohibitive circumstances for contracting, may participate. Capacity is accredited with DNI, NIF, NIE, or passport.

Deadlines, envelopes, and opening

The submission of bids is carried out by certified mail to the Cosío Neighborhood Council, at Las Escuelas s/n, 39559, Cosío (Rionansa), within ten business days from the day following the publication of the announcement, a period that the correction now extends by an additional ten days. The proof of certified shipment must be sent within the deadline to the entity’s email address; if not received in a timely and proper manner, the proposal will not be accepted.

Each bidder must present two envelopes:

• Envelope A: responsible declaration according to annex I and documentation proving identity.
• Envelope B: economic proposal according to annex II, with the offered amount, VAT included, in words and figures.

The precise correction that bids submitted in a format other than that of the annexes will be accepted as long as the participating person and the amount offered are understood. The opening of envelopes will be held on September 26 at 2:00 p.m. at the Junta’s premises, whereas the original specifications had provided for the constitution of the Contracting Board on September 20, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., composed of the president of the Junta or their delegate, the secretary or their delegate, and one member.

Obligations of the successful bidder

The award will be notified to the selected bidder, who will have ten business days to formalize the payment of the fee. After this period, if payment has not been made, they will be declared to have withdrawn and the permit will be awarded to the next best offer. The successful bidder must also pay the entry fee and the complementary fee provided for in Article 11 of Order DES/16/2025, of April 29, amounts which are independent of the award fee.

The costs of processing the file, the fees of the Government of Cantabria, the entry fees, and the publication in the Official Gazette of Cantabria shall be borne by the successful bidder. The permit complies with Order DES/09/2026, of March 20, which approves the Annual Hunting Plan of the Saja Regional Hunting Reserve for the 2026/2027 season (BOC number 60, of March 27, 2026, articles 5 and 11).

The enjoyment of the permit is personal: the successful bidder must hunt in person and may not transfer the shot of the animal or the accompaniment to third parties. Furthermore, they must notify the Cosío Neighborhood Council at least two days in advance of the place and date of the appointment with the forestry agent, and the entity reserves the right to accompany them on the day of the stalk to verify compliance with the clauses.

The extension of the deadline provides additional leeway for hunters from the region interested in a unique permit in the Saja Regional Hunting Reserve, whose starting fee of 1,000 euros and award by auction to the highest bidder keep the bidding open until the opening of envelopes on September 26.
