Cortes de Arenoso buys two homes for its public housing stock

The Cortes de Arenoso City Council has approved the direct acquisition of two homes for a total amount of 290,000 euros to increase its Municipal Public Housing Stock, within the framework of the ADHA Plan. The decision is formalized through Resolution No. 2026-0120, dated August 25, 2026, the announcement of which is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Castellón number 103, dated August 27, 2026.

The operation is part of the Program for the increase of public housing stock financed through the ADHA Plan, and the acquired properties will be allocated for rental or transfer of use for social purposes, in accordance with the conditions of the granted subsidy. The expenditure is charged to budget application 150.62205.

The two acquired homes

The resolution approves the direct purchase of two properties located within the municipal district:

• Home at C/ Tras el Santo No. 27, San Vicente de Piedrahíta, Cortes de Arenoso (Castellón). Cadastral reference 2863617YK1426S0001HZ. Price: 130,000.00 €.
• Home at C/ Canal No. 10, Cortes de Arenoso (Castellón). Cadastral reference 9216603YK0591N0001AK. Price: 160,000.00 €.

The total amount for both acquisitions amounts to 290,000.00 €.

One discarded property

The procedure initially included a third property, located at Avda. Castellón No. 15, Cortes de Arenoso, with cadastral reference 9314401YK0591S0008BP. However, the resolution states that it is not appropriate to proceed with its acquisition as no offer for its transfer to the City Council was presented.

Publicity and appeals

The resolution is published for general knowledge and for the purposes of publicity and transparency. The full text is contained in administrative file No. 69/2026 and will be available to interested parties on the electronic headquarters of the Cortes de Arenoso City Council.

Against Resolution No. 2026-0120, which exhausts the administrative route, the following may be filed:

• Optional appeal for reversal (recurso potestativo de reposición) before the body that issued the act, within one month from the day following publication, in accordance with articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure.
• Contentious-administrative appeal before the competent jurisdictional body, within two months, in accordance with article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction.

The resolution is electronically signed by the mayor-president, Florencio Catalán Bagán, dated August 26, 2026.

The expansion of the public housing stock in a rural municipality such as Cortes de Arenoso responds to the need to offer housing solutions to the population in the face of the shortage of housing in rural areas, guaranteeing access to housing through rental or transfer formulas for social purposes.
