Cortes de Arenoso buys two homes to expand its public housing stock

The Cortes de Arenoso City Council has approved the direct purchase of two homes for a total amount of 290,000 euros to expand its Municipal Public Housing Stock, within the framework of the ADHA Plan. The decision was adopted via Resolution No. 2026-0120, dated August 25, 2026, and has been published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Castellón number 103, dated August 27, 2026, with the official reference 03834-2026-U.

The operation is part of the Program to increase the public housing stock funded by the ADHA Plan, and the acquired properties will be allocated for rental or transfer of use for social purposes, in accordance with the conditions of the granted subsidy. The expenditure is charged to budget application 150.62205, and the complete administrative file, number 69/2026, is available to interested parties at the municipal electronic office.

The two acquired homes

The resolution approves the direct acquisition of two properties located within the municipal district:

• Home at C/ Tras el Santo nº 27, San Vicente de Piedrahíta, cadastral reference 2863617YK1426S0001HZ, for €130,000.00.
• Home at C/ Canal nº 10, Cortes de Arenoso, cadastral reference 9216603YK0591N0001AK, for €160,000.00.

The combined amount of both operations totals €290,000.00, charged to budget application 150.62205.

One property discarded

The procedure initially included a third property, located at Avda. Castellón nº 15, Cortes de Arenoso, with cadastral reference 9314401YK0591S0008BP. However, the City Council has agreed not to proceed with its acquisition as no offer for its transfer to the council was presented.

Deadlines and appeals

The resolution, which exhausts administrative remedies, may be appealed in the following ways:

• Optional appeal for reversal (recurso potestativo de reposición) before the body that issued the act, within one month from the day following the publication of the announcement (articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1).
• Contentious-administrative appeal before the competent jurisdictional body, within two months (article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13).

The announcement is electronically signed by the mayor-president, Florencio Catalán Bagán, dated August 26, 2026.

The expansion of the public housing stock in a rural municipality such as Cortes de Arenoso represents a significant step in responding to the housing access crisis in the interior of the province, offering alternatives under rental or transfer of use regimes at affordable prices and for social purposes.
