Corrected the stroke agreement with the Alberto Contador Foundation

Por FactBox Admin

The Community of Madrid has published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid (BOCM) number 197, dated August 19, 2026, a correction of errors regarding the agreement signed with the Alberto Contador Foundation to improve the quality of life for patients affected by stroke. The announcement, signed on August 17, 2026, corrects a clerical error in the date of the agreement, which appeared incorrectly in the original publication.

The agreement, signed on July 10, 2026, was initially published in BOCM number 194, dated August 15, under reference 03/12.090/26, where it was erroneously dated July 16. The correction, under reference 03/13.497/26, is published in the announcements section of the Regional Ministry of Health.

The object of the agreement

The purpose of the agreement is to improve the quality of life for patients affected by stroke through accompaniment activities in the health centers of the Madrid Health Service (SERMAS), via the “Stroke Patient School” program. This is an accompaniment and support initiative aimed at those who have suffered from this pathology during their stay in the health centers of the Madrid public network.

The corrected errors

The correction affects two specific points of the published text:

  • On pages 3 and 137, in the Summary, where it said “AGREEMENT of July 16, 2026”, it should say “AGREEMENT of July 10, 2026”.
  • On page 144, at the close of the announcement, where it said “Madrid, July 16, 2026”, it should say “Madrid, July 10, 2026”.

The signatories of the agreement

The agreement is signed by the three parties involved:

  • For the Community of Madrid, the Regional Minister of Health, Fátima Matute Teresa.
  • For the Madrid Health Service, the Vice-Minister of Health and Director General of SERMAS, Laura Gutiérrez Barreno.
  • For the Alberto Contador Foundation, its President, Alberto Contador Velasco.

The correction, dated in Madrid on August 17, 2026, does not alter the content or the conditions of the agreement, limiting itself to correcting the clerical dating error. With this publication, the agreement is formally validated with its correct date, guaranteeing the legal certainty of the accompaniment program for stroke patients in Madrid’s health centers.
