The justification for the subsidy for the direct Alhama-Arrixaca bus has been corrected.

The Governing Council of the Region of Murcia has approved Decree No. 152/2026, of 30 July, which corrects the justification rules for the EUR 108,000 grant awarded to Interbús Murcia Uno, S.L. for the direct non-stop service between Alhama de Murcia and the Virgen de la Arrixaca University Clinical Hospital. The decree is published in issue 187 of the Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia (BORM), of 14 August 2026, with official reference A-140826-4029, and amends Article 8 of Decree No. 83/2026 to resolve the contradiction detected between the payment and justification deadlines.

Decree No. 83/2026, of 11 June (BORM No. 139, of 19 June 2026), established the special rules for the direct award of the grant to Interbús Murcia Uno, S.L. as compensation for providing, throughout 2026, the direct bus service between Alhama de Murcia and the Virgen de la Arrixaca University Clinical Hospital. The service is provided within the framework of the regional public service management contract for regular general-use passenger transport MUR-043 between Lorca and Murcia, and is financed with a maximum amount of EUR 108,000.00, charged to budget line 14.04.00.513A 477.60, project 52641, through the Directorate General for Mobility and Transport.

A contradiction between payment and justification

Article 7 of the original decree provided that payment for the period between 1 November and 31 December 2026 would be made prior to the submission of the supporting documentation. However, Article 8 required that documentation to be presented within the first ten days of November 2026 for the entire financial year, which contradicted the advance payment. Decree No. 152/2026 makes the calendar clear:

• Services from January to October 2026: justification within the first ten days of November 2026, prior to payment.
• Services from November to December 2026: advance payment and justification during January 2027.

The new competent department

Presidential Decree No. 5/2026, of 29 May, on the Reorganisation of the Regional Administration, created the Department of Infrastructures and Territorial Development, which fully assumed the powers of the former Department of Development and Infrastructures. The decree replaces, in Article 8, the references to the abolished department and establishes that any mention of the old name must be understood as referring to the new one. The decree was signed by the president Fernando López Miras and the minister Jorge García Montoro, at the proposal of the latter and after prior deliberation by the Governing Council at its meeting of 30 July 2026.

Documentation required from the operator

To justify the subsidized activity, Interbús Murcia Uno, S.L. must submit, in accordance with Article 25 of Law 7/2005, on Subsidies of the Region of Murcia, in relation to Article 30 of Law 38/2003, General Subsidies Law:

• Supporting report on the cost and income accounting of the operation, referring to the improvements in contract MUR-043.
• Explanatory report on compliance with the obligation to publicize the public nature of the financing.
• Declaration on obtaining other subsidies, aid, income or resources intended for the same activity.

The decree takes effect from the date of its approval, 30 July 2026, without prejudice to its publication in the BORM.

The correction reinforces legal certainty for a service considered key for patients and users of health transport in the Guadalentín region, who use the direct connection with the Virgen de la Arrixaca University Clinical Hospital as their usual route to consultations, tests and emergencies. By clarifying the justification deadlines and the competent body, the Autonomous Community avoids delays in the payment of the €108,000 to the operator and ensures continuity of the line for the rest of 2026.
