Por FactBox Admin

The Coristanco City Council opens the call for grants for the year 2026 aimed at cultural associations, sports entities, individual athletes, and parents’ associations (ANPAS), under a competitive bidding process. The guidelines and the call itself were approved by Mayoral Decree No. 809/2026, dated August 11, and are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña number 157, dated August 19, 2026.

The call is processed under the Regulatory Ordinance of the grant guidelines of the Coristanco City Council, definitively published in BOP number 46, dated March 9, 2022. The objective is to promote cultural, educational, sports, and youth activities, encourage an active and creative use of leisure, contribute to the reconciliation of family life, and highlight Galician popular culture, with special attention to grassroots sports.

Beneficiaries and requirements

ANPAS of public Early Childhood Education (2nd cycle), Primary, and Secondary centers in Coristanco, as well as sports entities, individual federated athletes, neighborhood, cultural, and youth entities, and other non-profit entities may apply for the grants. Requirements include being legally constituted, registered in the Municipal Registry of Associations, being non-profit, carrying out their activity within the municipal district, and being up to date with tax and Social Security obligations.

For individual athletes and promoters of popular culture, it is required to be registered as a resident in Coristanco for a minimum of two years, to stand out in official competitions at the regional, national, or international level, and, in the case of athletes, to have turned 12 years old in the year of the call.

Amounts and budget allocations

The grants will be charged to the following allocations, up to the limit of their appropriation:

  • ANPAS: allocation 2026/231.48 (Social Assistance).
  • Cultural associations: allocation 2026/334.48 (Culture).
  • Sports entities and individual athletes: allocation 2026/341.48 (Sports).

Generally, the maximum amount is 5,000 euros per entity for ANPAS and cultural associations, 8,000 euros for sports entities, and 2,000 euros for individual athletes. Payment will be made in advance: 80% will be paid upon acceptance of the grant and the remaining 20% once it has been duly justified.

Deadline, applications, and justification

Applications shall be submitted through the electronic office using the standardized forms included as annexes, within a period of 15 business days from the day following the publication of the summary of the call in the BOP. The documentation includes the application, DNI or CIF, statutes, declaration of other grants, certification of representation and number of members, and the detailed program of the activity.

Eligible expenses must be incurred between January 1 and December 31, 2026, and the justification must be submitted before March 31, 2027. The grant will be awarded by agreement of the Mayor’s Office upon the proposal of an instructing commission, and the resolution must be adopted within six months from the end of the application period.

The call represents direct support for the associative and sporting fabric of Coristanco, which will see leisure, popular culture, and grassroots sports activities funded throughout the year. Beneficiary entities must acknowledge the collaboration of the City Council in all advertising of the subsidized activities, with the official logo clearly visible.
