Cordobilla provides the ground floor of the health clinic to the Civil Guard free of charge

Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of Cordobilla de Lácara has opened the public information process for the file regarding the free transfer of use of the ground floor of a municipal property in favor of the Ministry of the Interior for use by the Civil Guard. The announcement, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 202 on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, carries the reference Announcement 4167/2026 and provides fifteen business days to examine the file and submit allegations.

The origin of the decision lies with the municipal Plenary, which, in a session held on September 3, 2026, initially approved the modification of the plenary agreement regarding the provision of municipal premises in favor of the Ministry of the Interior (Civil Guard). The modification consists of removing the financial compensation that had been planned in the original agreement, set at 200.00 euros per month, and establishing the free nature of the transfer of use.

The transferred property

The object of the transfer is the ground floor of the municipal property located in the town’s former Medical Clinic. The property is identified in the inventory of assets and rights of the City Council of Cordobilla de Lácara as number 7 under section 1, corresponding to real estate.

The purpose of the transfer is exclusive: the space will be used as a citizen service office for the Civil Guard, for the benefit of the municipality’s residents. The announcement does not contemplate other compatible uses nor a specific duration for the transfer.

Fifteen business days for allegations

The process complies with article 110.1.f) of Royal Decree 1372/1986, of June 13, which approves the Regulations on Assets of Local Entities. The public information period is fifteen business days and is counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz, that is, from October 22, 2026.

During this period, interested parties may:

  • Examine the file at the municipal offices.
  • Submit allegations or claims through the general registry of the City Council of Cordobilla de Lácara.
  • Use the municipal electronic office.
  • Employ any of the means provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1.

Without allegations, the agreement will be final

The plenary agreement establishes that, if no allegations or claims are submitted during the public information period, the initially adopted agreement will become final without the need for a new pronouncement by the Plenary. Otherwise, the submitted allegations will be submitted to the Plenary for resolution.

The announcement is signed by the Mayor-President, Ángel Serván Expósito, and is published in the Local Administration section, under the City Councils heading, of the provincial bulletin.

The transfer directly affects the security service in a small town, which will now have a permanent service point of the Guardia Civil in a municipally-owned building at no cost to the coffers of the Ministry of the Interior. The file is now in the hands of the residents: any allegation submitted within the next fifteen business days will force the Plenary to review the agreement before the transfer becomes effective.
