Copenhagen maritime court reopens PAS bankruptcy estate after eight years
Por FactBox Admin

The probate division of the Maritime and Commercial Court in Copenhagen has reopened the administration of the bankruptcy estate of PAS A/S, more than eight years after the company was declared bankrupt, and has appointed a lawyer to wind it up again. The decision of 13 October 2026 was published in Statstidende on 16 October 2026, in the bankruptcy notices section, under official reference S14102026-71, and gives creditors four weeks to register their claims.
The estate was originally opened by decree of 2 October 2018 and has since been closed. The reopening order restores the full estate administration, meaning the trustee must again collect the company’s assets, examine claims and prepare a distribution to creditors. The announcement is signed by the probate court on 14 October 2026, one day after the reopening decision and two days before publication.
The notice is a standard bankruptcy decree adapted to a resumed case: it identifies the debtor, the case number, the appointed trustee and the two separate deadlines that now apply to anyone with an interest in the estate.
The company and the case
PAS A/S is registered in Copenhagen, and the resumed proceedings carry the original case number from 2018:
- Company: PAS A/S
- CVR number: 32081304
- Registered address: Digevej 114, 2300 København S
- Case number: K 2562/18-A
- Bankruptcy decree: 2 October 2018
- Reopening decision: 13 October 2026
New trustee and the four-week claim deadline
The court has appointed Finn Lynge Jepsen, a lawyer with an office at Stockholmsgade 41, 2100 København Ø, as trustee of the estate. He is the contact point for all claims arising from the resumed administration.
Any person or company holding a claim against the debtor is invited to register it with the trustee within four weeks of the announcement, that is, by mid-November 2026. Claims must be stated as they stood on the bankruptcy date of 2 October 2018, not as at the date of reopening, and the notice states that the registration should be accompanied by documentation of the claim.
No creditors’ meeting has been scheduled
The court has not convened a meeting to elect a trustee or to appoint a creditors’ committee. A creditor who wants such a meeting must submit a written request to the probate division within three weeks of the announcement:
- Authority: Sø- og Handelsrettens skifteret
- Address: Amaliegade 35, 2. sal, 1256 København K
- Deadline: three weeks after publication, i.e. early November 2026
- Form: written request from a creditor
The practical effect is that the case will proceed without creditor participation unless someone actively asks for it, while the claim registration remains open for a further week.
For creditors, the notice is the only formal signal that a case dormant since 2018 is live again. Anyone who held an unpaid invoice, a loan or another claim against PAS A/S at the time of the bankruptcy has a single four-week window to file it with Finn Lynge Jepsen; a claim lodged after that date risks being left out of the distribution. The eight-year gap also means that documentation, correspondence and contact details from 2018 may need to be retrieved, which makes early action the decisive factor in this reopened estate.
