Copenhagen maritime court declares Drachmann Begravelser bankrupt, creditors get four weeks

The maritime and commercial court in Copenhagen, Sø- og Handelsretten, has declared the funeral services company DRACHMANN BEGRAVELSER ApS bankrupt by decree dated 23 October 2026. The ruling was published in Statstidende on 27 October 2026 under the heading “Konkursboer” (bankrupt estates), with the official reference S23102026-249. Any creditor with an outstanding claim against the company has four weeks from that announcement to register it with the trustee now administering the estate.

The estate was opened on the basis of a petition received by the court on 29 September 2026 and is recorded under case number K 2064/26-G. The company’s registered office is given as Kongelundsvej 308, 2770 Kastrup, and its central business register number as CVR 36459654. The decree was signed by the bankruptcy division of Sø- og Handelsretten on 23 October 2026 and is one of a series of insolvency decrees carried in the same edition of the gazette.

The essential identifiers in the announcement are:

  • Debtor: DRACHMANN BEGRAVELSER ApS
  • CVR number: CVR 36459654
  • Registered address: Kongelundsvej 308, 2770 Kastrup
  • Court: Sø- og Handelsretten, Skifteretten
  • Case number: K 2064/26-G
  • Decree date: 23 October 2026
  • Petition received: 29 September 2026
  • Official reference: S23102026-249

Trustee appointed with no creditors’ meeting scheduled

The decree names attorney Christian Aispur, of August Bournonvilles Passage 1, 1055 København K, as trustee (kurator) of the estate. The announcement states explicitly that no meeting has been convened to elect a trustee or to appoint a creditors’ committee. That means the estate will be administered by the court-appointed trustee unless a creditor formally asks for a different arrangement.

Under the terms set out in the notice, any such request must be submitted in writing. It is to be addressed to Sø- og Handelsrettens skifteret, Amaliegade 35, 2. sal, 1256 København K, and must arrive within three weeks of the publication of the announcement. The same three-week window therefore governs both a possible election of a trustee and the possible establishment of a creditors’ committee.

Four weeks to register claims with documentation

The central instruction in the decree is addressed to anyone holding a debt or other claim against the debtor. Claims must be registered with the estate’s trustee within four weeks of the announcement, and each claim must be quantified as at the date of the bankruptcy. The notice adds that the registration should be accompanied by documentation supporting the claim, which in practice means invoices, contracts, account statements or other written evidence of the amount owed.

The decree does not state the size of the estate, the number of claims already received, or the value of the company’s assets. It also gives no figure for the total liabilities that creditors will be sharing in the event of a distribution. Those details belong to the trustee’s later administration of the estate rather than to the bankruptcy decree itself.

Funeral services company with a Kastrup address

The debtor is identified in the gazette as a private limited company, ApS, trading in funeral services and registered at an address in Kastrup, on the island of Amager immediately south of central Copenhagen. The bankruptcy is handled by the specialised maritime and commercial division of the Copenhagen court, which is the forum used for these proceedings in the capital region.

For anyone dealing with the company — suppliers, landlords, service partners or private customers with an outstanding financial relationship — the practical consequence is the same: a claim that is not registered before the four-week deadline may not be taken into account in the estate’s administration. The decree carries no information about how private arrangements already paid for will be handled, and the trustee is the only party empowered to answer such questions.

The announcement is one of around a hundred insolvency decrees published in the same edition of Statstidende, which appears in Danish only and serves as the statutory channel for bankruptcy notices, probate announcements and debt-rescheduling cases. Its publication is what starts the clock on the deadlines described above, not the date on which the court signed the decree.
