Por FactBox Admin

The Nicaraguan Institute for Cooperative Development (INFOCCOP) published in La Gaceta, Official Gazette No. 184, corresponding to Thursday, October 8, 2026, the notices from the liquidation commissions of three cooperatives in the process of liquidation, urging their creditors to come forward to verify the amount of their credits. The granted period is fifteen days following the final publication of each notice. The three announcements appear in the Notices section, on page 9682, under references Reg. 2026-00944, Reg. 2026-00945, and Reg. 2026-00939.
The notices are issued in accordance with the provisions of Article 86 of the Regulations of Law No. 499, the General Law of Cooperatives, the regulation that governs the liquidation procedure of these entities and obliges the liquidation commissions to publicly summon creditors. Each publication has a value of C$ 190.00 and was processed through the Nicaraguan Institute for Cooperative Development (INFOCCOP), the governing body of the Nicaraguan cooperative sector.
The three cooperatives belong to different departments of the country: an agricultural one from Carazo, a multisectoral one from Masaya, and an agricultural-livestock one from Managua. In all three cases, the summons seeks for creditors to prove and quantify their credits before the liquidation commission continues with the process of dissolution and distribution of assets.

Deadline and effects of the notice
The deadline is fifteen (15) days starting from the last publication of each notice, as stated in the three texts. Within that period, creditors must appear before the corresponding liquidation commission to verify the amount of their credits. Verification is the preliminary step for credits to be recognized within the liquidation process of each cooperative.
The notices directly affect members, suppliers, and creditors of the three cooperatives, who must be attentive to the date of the last publication so as not to miss the fifteen-day deadline. The public call is the mechanism provided by the General Law of Cooperatives to ensure that no credit remains unverified before the closure of the liquidation.
