155,000 Euro Agreement for the Quality of Rioja Wine

The Official Gazette of La Rioja publishes in issue number 173, dated September 9, 2026, Resolution 1337/2026, dated August 19, from the General Technical Secretariat of the Department of Finance, Public Governance, Digital Society and Government Spokespersonship, which provides for the publication of the summary of the agreement signed between the Government of La Rioja and the Association of Family Wineries of Rioja (PROVIR) for the promotion of the quality of Riojan vineyards and wine.
The agreement, signed on July 21, 2026, commits a contribution of 155,000 euros from the regional Executive and is in effect from January 1 to December 31, 2026. The publication is carried out in accordance with Article 10 of Decree 13/2017, dated April 12, which regulates the Electronic Registry of Agreements of the Autonomous Community of La Rioja.
Signing Parties
The agreement is signed, on behalf of each institution, by:
- Noemí Manzanos Martínez, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural World and Environment, for the Government of La Rioja.
- Eduardo Hernáiz López, president of the Association of Family Wineries of Rioja (PROVIR).
The resolution bears the signature of Begoña Sáinz Martínez, Head of the Government Secretariat and Parliamentary Relations Service, by virtue of Resolution 894/2023, dated July 20.
Object and Scope of the Agreement
Through this agreement, the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural World and Environment commits to financially support the initiatives and the representation of small and medium-sized wineries carried out by PROVIR, as detailed throughout the period defined in the second clause of the text.
The objective is to strengthen the quality of Riojan vineyards and wine, a strategic sector for the regional economy, by boosting the activities of an association that groups together family wineries of the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin.
