CONVEGA announces the "Vega Baja del Segura in 20 Seconds" audiovisual contest

CONVEGA has announced the first edition of the audiovisual creation contest “Vega Baja del Segura in 20 seconds,” featuring two prizes in kind with a maximum estimated combined value of 2,000 euros. The call for entries is approved by resolution of the consortium’s Presidency and published as an abstract in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante No. 185, dated September 29, 2026, under reference 7331/2026.

The abstract is disseminated in accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and is identified in the National Subsidies Database under number BDNS 931591, where the full text of the rules can be consulted. The resolution was signed in Rojales on September 25, 2026, by Carlos María Pastor Ventura, president of CONVEGA, the Consortium for the Economic Development of the Vega Baja del Segura.

Purpose and participants

The call regulates the first edition of the competition, promoted with the aim of encouraging the creation of short, original, and unpublished audiovisual content that showcases the identity, uniqueness, and diversity of the region and strengthens its promotion within the framework of the Territory Brand “Vega Baja del Segura, your land and mine.”

Natural persons of legal age who meet the requirements of the specific rules may participate. Participation is individual, and each person may submit a single work.

Technical characteristics of the works

The submitted pieces must meet the following conditions:

• Be original and unpublished.
• Have a maximum duration of twenty seconds.
• Be presented in vertical 9:16 format.
• Be delivered in MP4 or MOV file format.
• Have a minimum resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
• Not exceed a maximum file size of 500 MB.

Prizes and submission deadline

Two prizes in kind are established:

• First Jury Prize: a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K, or equipment with equivalent performance, functionality, and technical characteristics.
• Second Jury Prize: a DJI Osmo Action Adventure Combo camera, or equipment with equivalent performance, functionality, and technical characteristics.

The deadline for submitting applications and works is twenty calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the abstract in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante, that is, until October 19, 2026. Applications shall be submitted through the CONVEGA electronic office, via General Request, accompanied by the audiovisual work and the documentation provided for in the rules.

The call for entries opens an institutional channel for the residents of the region to project their territory in twenty-second pieces, using a low-cost production formula and immediate dissemination. For local creators, the competition also offers the possibility of equipping their audiovisual material at no cost, in a first edition that CONVEGA proposes as an annual event for 2026 and which will serve as a reference for future calls.
