Functions and electoral calendar

The Provincial Electoral Board is the reference body at the provincial level throughout the electoral process. Its duties include resolving any incidents and claims that may arise, coordinating the zone boards, and proclaiming the candidacies running in the constituency of Cáceres.

Its constitution marks the formal start of the calendar leading up to the appointment on November 29, 2026, established by Royal Decree 806/2026 following the dissolution of the General Courts. From now on, the decisions of this body will be decisive for the validity of the candidacies and for the resolution of conflicts that may arise during the campaign.

The publication of its composition in the provincial bulletin provides public guarantee for a procedure that directly affects the development of the elections in the province. The voters of Cáceres thus have a judicialized control body, responsible for ensuring the legality of the process and channeling any claims until the voting day.
