The Electoral Board of Aragon has been constituted with Javier Seoane Prado at the helm

The Aragon Electoral Board was constituted on September 7, 2026, and has made its composition public through a resolution by its president, Javier Seoane Prado, published in the Official Gazette of Aragon number 179, dated September 15, 2026. The body, which will govern the upcoming regional electoral processes, is constituted in accordance with Article 7 of Law 2/1987, of February 16, Electoral Law of the Autonomous Community of Aragon.

The constitution takes place following the election of the president and vice-president in the manner provided for in paragraph 4 of said article. The resolution is published in the official gazette in compliance with the provisions of Article 18.6 of Organic Law 5/1985, of June 19, of the General Electoral Regime, which requires the composition of these bodies to be made public.

Composition of the body

The Aragon Electoral Board is composed of the following members:

• President: Mr. Javier Seoane Prado.
• Vice-President: Mr. Emilio Molins García-Atance.
• Members: Mr. Javier Albar García, Ms. María Pilar Galindo Morell, Mr. José Luis Bermejo Latre, Ms. Eva Sáenz Royo, and Mr. Enrique Esteban Pendás.
• Secretary: Ms. Carmen Rubio de Val.

Regulatory framework

The creation and operation of the Aragon Electoral Board are supported by Law 2/1987, of February 16, which regulates the electoral regime of the Autonomous Community. Article 7 establishes the composition of the body and the procedure for the election of its president and vice-president, while the publication of its constitution responds to the transparency requirement set out in Organic Law 5/1985, of June 19, of the General Electoral Regime.
