Constituida en Montilla la Junta Electoral de Zona para las generales de noviembre

The Montilla Zonal Electoral Board has been constituted for the General Elections on November 29, according to the agreement signed by its president, Sandra Ruiz Granados, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba No. 202, dated October 23, 2026, in the Electoral Administration section (page 15323, reference BOP-A-2026-3565). The body is composed of a president, two judicial members, and a secretary, all of judicial origin. The text is dated in Montilla on October 9, 2026.

Framework of the electoral process

The constitution takes place within the framework of the General Elections called by the Presidential Royal Decree 206/2026, of October 5, and responds to the calendar that the electoral administration has been deploying throughout the province since the beginning of October. The Montilla Zonal Electoral Board acts as the reference body for parties, candidates, and voters of the southern Córdoba countryside throughout the process.

The same constitution agreement had already been published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba No. 198, dated October 13, 2026 (reference BOP-A-2026-3457), therefore this Friday’s insertion reproduces the content of the constitution act with the corrected spelling of the president’s name.

Composition of the body

The designated members are as follows:

  • President: Sandra Ruiz Granados, judge of the Civil and Criminal Section of the Montilla Court of First Instance, position No. 1.
  • Judicial members: Laura Moreno-Chinchilla Jiménez, judge of the Civil and Criminal Section of the Montilla Court of First Instance, position No. 2, and Ana María Sarabia González, magistrate of the Investigating Section of the Córdoba Court of First Instance, position No. 8.
  • Secretary: Eulogio Palma Moreno, legal officer of the Administration of Justice of the Civil and Criminal Section of the Montilla Court of First Instance, position No. 2.

The agreement is signed by the president and the secretary of the body, both with an electronic signature and a secure verification code associated with the published document.

Nine municipalities and procedures already open

The jurisdiction of this zonal electoral board covers nine municipal districts of the southern countryside: Fernán-Núñez, La Guijarrosa, Montalbán, Montemayor, Montilla, La Rambla, Santaella, San Sebastián de los Ballesteros, and La Victoria. Over these, it exercises its competencies regarding propaganda, campaign premises, and the administration of voting day.

In parallel to the constitution, the same body has already published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba no. 204, of October 21, 2026, the lists of sites for posters and banners (BOP-A-2026-3522) and of official premises and public spaces for campaign events (BOP-A-2026-3523). Applications for the use of these spaces may be submitted to the Zonal Electoral Board of Montilla until 2:00 PM on November 2, 2026, also by email to the address enabled by the Regional Government of Andalusia.

Impact for candidacies and voters

With the board constituted and published, the candidacies running for the constituency of Córdoba in the municipalities of this area now have the authority before which to formalize their campaign procedures, resolve queries, and file claims in the process leading up to November 29. For voters, the agreement establishes the institutional reference that oversees the integrity of the process in the southern countryside and guarantees the availability of free propaganda spaces and public premises for campaign events.
