Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Electoral Board of Tarragona has been constituted with the appointment of its members for the upcoming general elections. This is stated in the edict signed by the Secretary of the Board, José Antonio Ruiz Pardo, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona on October 13, 2026 (CVE 2026-09484, p. 1-1). The constitution was formalized in Tarragona on October 9, 2026, in compliance with the provisions of article 14.3 of the Organic Law on the General Electoral Regime.
The edict, with document reference 365292, responds to the call for elections to the Congress of Deputies and the Senate. According to the minutes of the constitution of the Zonal Electoral Board of Tarragona published on the same day in the gazette, the call was made via Royal Decree 806/2026, of October 5, published in the Official State Gazette on October 6, 2026. Election day is November 29, 2026, according to the announcement from the Provincial Delegation of the Electoral Census Office of Tarragona published in the BOP on October 12, 2026.
Composition of the Provincial Electoral Board
The edict details the three positions that make up the body, all of whom hold the title of ilustríssim:
- Presidency: Raquel Marchante Castellanos.
- Members: Tamara Beltrán Pérez and Inmaculada Perdigones.
- Secretariat: José Antonio Ruiz Pardo.
The Board is headquartered at Rambla President Lluís Companys, 10 (Palace of Justice, 3rd floor), 43005 Tarragona, and the contact email is jep_tarragona@gencat.cat. The document recalls that the constitution is carried out in compliance with article 14.3 of the L.O.R.E.G. and that the edict is issued “for the record.”
Zonal boards are also constituted
The same issue of the gazette records the constitution of the zonal electoral boards of the province, all formalized on October 9, 2026:
- Zonal Electoral Board of Tarragona (CVE 2026-09464): presidency of Carmelo Martínez Creixenti, magistrate of seat number 3 of the Instruction Section of the Court of First Instance of Tarragona; members Rubén Rus Vela, Carmelo Martínez Creixenti and Antonio Gambón Vilalta; secretariat of Marta Anastasia Rodríguez Madre, lawyer and director of the General Common Service.
- Zonal Electoral Board of Valls (CVE 2026-09448): presidency of Crescencia del Pozo Prieto; judicial members Chantal Prieto Corbella and Raquel Novo Mazuelos; secretariat of Alma Antón Becerril.
- Zonal Electoral Board of Tortosa (CVE 2026-09472): presidency of Raquel Tormo Sanchís; judicial members Francisco García Domínguez and Alicia López López; secretariat of Ana María Aguilar Zanuy.
In the case of Tarragona, the judicial members were appointed by insaculation carried out by the Governing Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Catalonia in the session of October 8, 2026, and the same minutes record the election of the president from among the members.
Electoral roll and polling stations
The logistics of the process are also published in the bulletin. On October 12, 2026, the Provincial Delegation of the Electoral Census Office of Tarragona published the list of sections, tables, and electoral premises for each municipality in the province, a 24-page announcement signed by the provincial delegate Rafael Cervera Cervera. This list is what determines where the voters of each municipality must vote on November 29.
The constitution of the Provincial Electoral Board is the indispensable previous step for the electoral administration to function: it is the body that ensures the legality of the process, resolves claims, and proclaims the results in the province. With the appointment made public, all voters and parties in Tarragona now have a single reference body for any incident in the current electoral process.
