Constitúense as xuntas electorais da provincia para as xerais do 29-N

The Provincial Electoral Board of A Coruña and the seven zone electoral boards of the province have been constituted with members of judicial origin for the general elections on November 29. This is stated in the certifications published by the Official Gazette of the Province of A Coruña in issue number 196, dated October 14, 2026, within the Electoral Administration section, with the official reference 2026/6599 for the provincial body.

The constitutions take place in application of article 14 of the Organic Law 5/1985, of June 19, on the General Electoral Regime (LOREG), which establishes the composition of these bodies with members of judicial origin. The call derives from Royal Decree 806/2026, of October 5, on the dissolution of the Congress of Deputies and the Senate and the call for elections, published in the Official State Gazette number 248, of October 6, 2026.

The acts of constitution were held mostly on October 9, 2026, according to the certifications signed by the secretaries of each body, and the election day is set for November 29, 2026.

The Provincial Electoral Board

The Provincial Electoral Board of A Coruña has been constituted with the following composition:

  • Presidency: Ángel Judel Prieto, magistrate of the Provincial Court of A Coruña.
  • Members: María del Carmen Taboada Caseiro and Rafael-Jesús Fernández-Porto García, magistrates of the Provincial Court of A Coruña.
  • Secretariat: Lourdes Villegas Castrillo, lawyer of the Justice Administration, director of the Common Processing Service of the Provincial Court of A Coruña.

The certification, signed by the secretary, also includes the regular office hours of the board’s secretariat.

The seven zone electoral boards

The bulletin also publishes the constitution of the zone boards of the judicial districts of the province:

  • Ferrol: chaired by Ana María Lourido Rico; members Sara Vega Rodríguez and Alfredo Fernández Vázquez; secretary José Miguel Regueiro Pérez (2026/6578).

The board of Noia states that its constitution is definitive as there are no grounds for the substitution of the appointees.

Public opening hours

The Provincial Electoral Board establishes the following opening schedule for its secretariat:

  • Monday to Friday, from 17:00 to 20:00 hours, except on October 16 and 26, when it will be open until 24:00 hours.
  • Saturdays, from 11:00 to 13:00 hours.
  • Sundays closed, except on October 25, which will open from 11:00 to 13:00 hours.
  • Sunday, November 29, will remain open throughout the electoral day.

The constitution of these bodies formally opens the electoral calendar in the province and marks the starting point for the deadlines affecting parties, candidates, and voters. From now on, the boards assume the management of candidacies, claims, and appeals, as well as the supervision of the campaign and the voting day; therefore, any incident related to 11-29 must be addressed to these judicial bodies.
