CONCYTEC aprueba subvenciones por un millón de soles para proyectos de ciencia

The National Council for Science, Technology and Technological Innovation (CONCYTEC) approved the financial transfer to a public entity and the granting of subsidies to private legal entities for a total of S/ 1,038,468.00 to co-finance basic research projects and science networks. The decision was formalized through Presidency Resolution No. 128-2026-CONCYTEC-P, dated September 14, 2026, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

The measure is based on the Twelfth Final Complementary Provision of Law No. 31250, Law of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation, which exceptionally authorizes CONCYTEC to make financial transfers in favor of public entities and grant subsidies to private legal entities, whether domiciled or not domiciled in the country, to co-finance science, technology, and innovation programs and projects. The disbursement is channeled through the National Program for Scientific Research and Advanced Studies (PROCIENCIA), created by Supreme Decree No. 051-2021-PCM based on the National Fund for Scientific Development and Technological Innovation (FONDECYT). The resolution was signed by the president of CONCYTEC, Sixto Enrique Sánchez Calderón.

Co-financing of three financial schemes

  • Competition E067-2025-01-BM “Science, Technology and Innovation Networks in Strategic Areas”.
  • Financial Scheme E041-2026-01 “Basic Research Projects”.

The procedure complies with Directive No. 001-2024-CONCYTEC-P, approved by Presidency Resolution No. 076-2024-CONCYTEC-P, which regulates the approval process for financial transfers and the granting of subsidies within the CONCYTEC budget. The technical, budgetary, and legal viability was ratified by the Competition Management Unit, the Planning and Budget Unit, and the Legal Advisory Unit of PROCIENCIA, as well as by the General Office of Planning and Budget and the General Office of Legal Advice of CONCYTEC.
