Tender to lease the Cotorra de Verezales estate in Monasterio de Rodilla

The City Council of Monasterio de Rodilla has opened a public tender, via a competitive bidding process, for the lease of the rural estate known as «Cotorra de Verezales», intended for agricultural cultivation. The call, approved by Mayoral resolution on August 20, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos number 165, dated September 1, 2026, with reference BOPBUR-2026-03640 and file no. 74/2026.

The estate is owned by the Comunidad de Espinosa, an entity formed by the City Councils of Monasterio de Rodilla, Quintanapalla, Riocerezo, and Temiño. The processing is ordinary and the procedure is by tender, with a lease term of five annual periods starting on October 1, 2026, and ending on September 30, 2031.

Four lots and bidding prices

The object of the contract is divided into four lots, each with its own area, annual base bidding price, and deposit to be paid:

• Lot 1: 19.30 hectares, base price €3,247.00/year and a deposit of €487.05.
• Lot 2: 19.30 hectares, base price €3,247.00/year and a deposit of €487.05.
• Lot 3: 19.30 hectares, base price €3,247.00/year and a deposit of €487.05.
• Lot 4: 27.63 hectares, base price €6,947.00/year and a deposit of €1,042.05.

Interested parties must provide a provisional guarantee equivalent to 3% of the base price of the corresponding lot for the five annual periods; failure to do so will be grounds for exclusion from the tender. The final guarantee is set at 5% of the award price for the five annual periods.

Submission of bids and opening

Proposals shall be submitted to the registry of the City Council of Monasterio de Rodilla, at Plaza Mayor, 1, on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 to 12:00 hours, during the 15 calendar days following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos and on the City Council’s contractor profile.

The contracting board will meet in a public act on the first Monday following the end of the proposal submission period, at 12:00 hours, for the opening of envelope «B», while envelope «A» will be opened previously in a non-public act. An opportunity for the agricultural sector

The tender offers farmers in the region the possibility of accessing a communal estate of more than 85 hectares divided into four lots, with an annual fee ranging between 3,247 and 6,947 euros. As it is a competitive bidding process, the award is not limited to the highest price offered, which may favor proposals that combine rent and farming conditions. Furthermore, the call represents a way to enhance the rural heritage of the Comunidad de Espinosa and revitalize agricultural activity in the involved municipalities.
