Tender to award the Los Siseros fishing ground in Yeste

The Vice-Ministry of Environment of the Ministry of Sustainable Development has announced the opening of the tender for the concession of the Los Siseros intensive fishing area, located on the Segura river, in the municipality of Yeste (Albacete). The call is published via the Resolution of 08/21/2026 in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha (DOCM), number 166, dated August 31, 2026, and is addressed to fishing societies declared as collaborators in the region.
The deadline for submitting proposals is two months from the day following the publication of the resolution in the official gazette. Applications must be addressed to the Provincial Delegation of the Ministry of Sustainable Development in Albacete and submitted electronically with an electronic signature through the form enabled on the electronic headquarters of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha (www.jccm.es).
Regulatory Framework
The call is based on Article 11 of Law 1/1992, of May 7, on River Fishing of Castilla-La Mancha, which allows the utilization of fishing areas to be carried out through fishing societies of the region declared as collaborators via administrative concessions. The award procedure is governed by Articles 67 to 77 of the Regulations developing Titles I, II, IV, V, VI and partially VII of said law, approved by Decree 91/1994, of September 13.
The decision is based on the proposal received from the Provincial Delegation in Albacete, from which the suitability of offering this section of the area under a concession regime is deduced for the purpose of its exploitation as an intensive fishing area.
Characteristics of the Fishing Area
The offered section presents the following technical conditions:
- Province: Albacete; municipality: Yeste.
- Name: Los Siseros; water body: Segura river.
- Upper limit: Graya bridge; lower limit: confluence with the Tinjarra stream.
- Area/length: 4.5 km.
- Authorized baits: artificial fly and spinner, with a single hook devoid of a barb.
Specifications and Conditions
The specifications and their annexes will be available to interested parties on the notice board of the electronic headquarters of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha and at the offices of the Vice-Ministry of Environment, at calle Río Estenilla, s/n, Toledo, on business days from 9:00 to 14:00 hours. The resolution, signed by the Vice-Minister of Environment, José Almodóvar Aráez, further establishes that advertising costs shall be borne by the successful society.
The opening of this competition represents an opportunity for the collaborating fishing associations of the region to manage a section of high fish value in the Segura basin, within a model of sustainable exploitation of river resources promoted by regional regulations since 1992.
