Provisional award of the rally prizes of the Provincial Council of Lugo

The Provincial Council of Lugo has approved the provisional award of the prizes for individual athletes of the province, discipline of motorsport, specialty of asphalt, gravel or mountain rally, historic vehicles and alternative energies, for the 2026 annual period. The agreement, adopted by the Governing Board at its session of 7 August 2026, distributes €45,000 among 39 athletes and was published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Lugo (BOP de Lugo) No. 185, of 14 August 2026, under reference R. 2215.
The announcement, signed in Lugo on 11 August 2026 by the provincial deputy M.ª del Pilar García Porto, by delegation of the presidency by decree of 31 July 2026, and by the secretary-comptroller Leticia Rodríguez Díaz, originates from the Department of Sports, Crafts and Design and Historical Memory. The list of winners was approved in accordance with the report of the evaluation commission and with the scoring criteria and the maximum and minimum amounts provided for in the rules of the call, according to the scores recorded in the lists annexed to the minutes of the evaluation body.
A total of €45,000 among 39 drivers
The total credit amounts to €45,000, distributed in amounts ranging from €372 to €2,500 per beneficiary. The maximum award, of €2,500, corresponds to six athletes:
- Pablo Sánchez Sánchez
- Adrián Díaz Pérez
- Ánxel Vizoso López
- Francisco Dorado Vizcaíno
- Shirley Maria Fernández Bellas
- José Antonio Alonso Liste
Alongside them, the list includes drivers such as Darío Amorín Gómez (€1,851), César Figueiras Ledo (€1,723), Diego Gómez Miguélez (€1,509) or Héctor Pérez Fernández (€1,317). The complete list, with the 39 beneficiaries and the file number of each one, is published on pages 1 to 3 of the bulletin.
Ten-day period for objections
In accordance with rule ten of the call, interested parties have a period of ten (10) days, counted from the day following the publication of the agreement in the BOP de Lugo, to submit objections. Under Article 45 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of the Public Administrations (LPACAP), the agreement shall not be subject to individual notification, but rather shall be notified by publication in the bulletin and on the website of the Provincial Council of Lugo.
If the hearing procedure ends without objections, the provisional award will become final and will be published again in the BOP and on the Provincial Council’s website. No appeal shall lie against this agreement, as it is a procedural act, pursuant to Article 112 of the LPACAP, without prejudice to interested parties submitting as many objections as they deem appropriate in defence of their rights and legitimate interests.
Rejected applications
The announcement also includes the list of applications that were not awarded, with the reason for rejection:
- Diego Fente Cabo — rejected for not proving possession of the 2026 federation licence (condition 2B).
- Braís Basanta Díaz, Marcos Otero Cortiñas, Bruno Varela Ulloa, Mario Saa Fernández and Rubén Cela García — rejected for not achieving enough points to reach the minimum amount (fourth condition).
- Francisco Rigueira Fernández and Antonio Martínez Martínez — filed withdrawal.
The publication of this agreement closes the first stage of the call and starts the countdown for the awarded Lugo drivers to confirm their amounts, which will be paid once the appeals process is resolved. With a budget of €45,000 and 39 beneficiaries, the programme consolidates the Provincial Council’s support for provincial motorsport, one of the disciplines with the greatest presence in Lugo.
