CONAMI registers CREZCAMOS as a new microfinance institution

The Board of Directors of the National Microfinance Commission (CONAMI) authorized the registration of CREZCAMOS, Sociedad Anónima in the National Registry of MFIs, through Resolution No. CD-CONAMI-079-01SEP24-2026, approved in ordinary session No. 09-2026 on September 24, 2026. The decision is published in La Gaceta, Official Gazette No. 184 of Thursday, October 8, 2026, page 9682, under registration Reg. 2026-00970 – M. 46641637.

The resolution was certified by Álvaro José Contreras, secretary of the CONAMI Board of Directors. The registration application was submitted on August 27, 2026, by Bertha Rosa Lazo Jiménez, acting as the legal representative of the company, known commercially as CREZCAMOS.

The company was incorporated through public deed number 27, granted in the city of Estelí on April 27, 2026, before the notary Arcadio Xavier Arana Poveda, and registered on May 16, 2026, under registration account MC-XIKHYJ, with the corporate name CREZCAMOS, S. A., entry No. 1. The legal framework invoked is Law No. 769, “Law for the Promotion and Regulation of Microfinance,” consolidated text in Law No. 1175, “Nicaraguan Legal Digest Law on Banking and Finance Matters,” published in La Gaceta No. 153 on August 20, 2024, together with Resolution CD-CONAMI-027-02NOV30-2023, published in La Gaceta No. 03 on January 10, 2024.

Authorization and corporate purpose

Article FIRST authorizes, as of October 2026, the registration of CREZCAMOS as a Microfinance Institution (MFI), to carry out all operations and enjoy the privileges established in Law No. 769. The entity must comply with the provisions issued by the Board of Directors or the Executive Presidency regarding the submission of registration documentation.

According to the sixth clause of the deed, the corporate purpose includes:

Provision of financial intermediation services, aimed at granting loans to natural and legal persons.
Guaranteeing social obligations through guarantees, pledges on movable assets, or mortgages on immovable assets.
Technical assistance: training programs and financial education.
Promotion of the economic and social development of lower-income sectors, under principles of gender equity.

Transfer of assets and deadlines

Article SECOND indicates that Bertha Rosa Lazo Jiménez is registered with CONAMI as a Pawn and/or Loan Service Provider under the trade name CREDI RAPIDO Y SEGURO (CREZCAMOS), since March 2025, according to Resolution CD-CONAMI-007-05FEB27-2025 of February 27, 2025. Therefore, she is instructed:

A deadline expiring on December 30, 2026, for the transfer and integration of the total assets of the activity carried out personally as a pawn and/or loan provider to the commercial company.
A period of three months, counted from the receipt of the resolution, for the microfinance institution to begin operations and submit the request for the cancellation of its registration as a Pawn and/or Loan Service Provider.
The submission of the cancellation deed as a lender registered in the Public Mercantile Registry and the report of its deregistration before other state institutions.

Board of Directors and publication

Article THIRD orders the notification and publication of the resolution in La Gaceta, Official Gazette, at the expense of the authorized MFI. The document bears the signatures of:

Freddy José Cruz Cortez, proprietary member.
Alejandra Leonor Corea Bradford, proprietary member.
Flavio Chiong Aráuz, alternate member.
Denis Reyna Estrada, alternate member.
Álvaro José Contreras, secretary.

The registration incorporates CREZCAMOS into the official MFI registry and obliges the company to migrate the assets of its previous pawn and loan business within a few months, with a direct effect on microcredit clients and on the country’s popular financial market.
