National Irrigation Commission publishes final scores for three competitions

The National Irrigation Commission (CNR), under the Undersecretariat of Agriculture of the Ministry of Agriculture, published the final results of three competitions to promote private investment in irrigation and drainage works, within the framework of Law No. 18,450. The announcement, signed by the Acting Executive Director, Marianela Matta Lagos, was disseminated in Section IV of the Official Gazette of the Republic of Chile No. 44,541, dated Thursday, September 3, 2026, under reference CVE 2862991.

The notice informs applicants that the final list with the scores assigned to Admitted and Not Admitted projects will be available to interested parties on the agency’s website, www.cnr.gob.cl, on the dates indicated for each call.

Three competitions with published results

The results correspond to three irrigation promotion calls, each with its own publication date on the CNR website:

• Competition No. 06-2026 — “Competition for indigenous peoples”: publication on September 4, 2026.
• Competition No. 08-2026 — “National competition for the monitoring of surface and groundwater extractions”: publication on September 3, 2026.
• Competition No. 09-2026 — “Competition for civil works and technification for northern Chile”: publication on September 4, 2026.

Regulatory framework and scope

The competitions are framed within Law No. 18,450, which regulates the promotion of private investment in irrigation and drainage works, an instrument through which the State co-finances projects that improve water availability and efficiency for agricultural use. The call for indigenous peoples seeks to expand irrigation access for native communities, while the monitoring competition aims at the measurement of surface and groundwater extractions, and the one for northern Chile finances civil works and technification in an area of severe water stress.
