Cogersa announces seventeen permanent job openings at the residue fractionation plant

Cogersa, S. A. U. has announced selection processes to fill seventeen permanent positions at the Residual Fraction Treatment Plant. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias (BOPA) no. 191, dated October 2, 2026, within section VI. Other Announcements, under official reference 2026-07963. Applicants have a period of fifteen calendar days to submit their application.

The call is signed by the entity’s Manager in Oviedo on September 28, 2026. Cogersa, S. A. U. is the Company for the Management of Solid Waste in Asturias, Sole Shareholder Public Limited Company, the public company responsible for waste management in the Principality. This is the second round of stable employment announced by the company in barely two weeks, following the one published on September 18.

Seventeen permanent positions at the residual fraction plant

The offer is divided among five professional categories, all with permanent contracts and based at the Residual Fraction Treatment Plant:

• Two (2) Crane Operator positions.
• Three (3) Line Operator positions.
• Eight (8) Press Operator positions.
• Three (3) Forklift Operator positions.
• One (1) Grapple-Loader position.

The majority of the vacancies correspond to industrial operation profiles, with the press group being the largest, concentrating eight of the seventeen offered jobs.

Terms and application deadline

The terms of the calls are published on the notice board of the electronic headquarters of Cogersa, S. A. U. (https://cogersasau.sedelectronica.es/info.0), where the requirements for each position are detailed.

The deadline for submitting applications is fifteen (15) calendar days and is calculated from the day following the publication of the announcement in the BOPA and on the notice board of the entity’s electronic headquarters, therefore extending until October 17, 2026.

Background: twenty jobs announced in September

This Friday’s announcement comes after the company published another call on September 18, in BOPA no. 181, for twenty permanent positions under reference 2026-07599.

That first round included one Procurement Technician position, one Operations Technician, one Occupational Risk Prevention Technician, two Senior Specialist Mechanic positions, one more of the same category with a permanent replacement contract, and fourteen Non-conforming Material and Cabin-Bulky Sorting Laborers, two of which were reserved for people with disabilities.

Between both calls, Cogersa, S. A. U. has offered thirty-seven permanent jobs in less than a month, all with the same deadline of fifteen calendar days for the submission of candidacies.

The publication reinforces the public company’s commitment to job stability at its waste treatment facilities and opens a pathway to permanent employment for Asturian workers in industrial and operational profiles.
