ADICOVER (Association for the Integral Development of the La Vera Region) has notified the proposed provisional resolution of the applications submitted to the 1st call for Leader PEPAC 2023-2027 aid, aimed at investments in processing and marketing of agricultural products within the framework of its Local Participatory Development Strategy. The notice, signed in Cuacos de Yuste by the president of ADICOVER, Fermín Encabo Acuña, is issued under Decree 78/2024, of 23 July, which regulates the aid system under the Leader methodology and the management procedure within the framework of Spain’s Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy 2023-2027. The line corresponds to Intervention 7119 Leader, co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), the Junta de Extremadura and the General State Administration, and managed by the Local Action Groups.

The annex to the provisional proposal lists the companies whose applications have passed the Evaluation Commission, the technical-economic report issued by Management, the RAF supervision and the administrative control of the aid application:

- Orencio Hoyo, SL
- Lácteos Quesera de la Vera, SL

A European framework for agriculture in La Vera
The call is framed within the Local Participatory Development Strategy of the La Vera Region and the regime established by Decree 78/2024, of 23 July, published in DOE number 146, of 29 July 2024. Leader aid, co-financed by the EAFRD, the Junta de Extremadura and the General State Administration, finances productive investments in processing and marketing of agricultural products, a strategic sector for the economy of the Cáceres district.
With this provisional proposal, La Vera takes a decisive step towards channeling European funds into its agri-food sector, in a rural area where the transformation and commercialization of agricultural products sustain employment and population. Once the allegations have been examined, the final resolution will confirm the distribution of investments that, co-financed by the EAFRD, will strengthen the competitiveness of local SMEs and add value in the territory.
