Cinca Medio announces a temporary vacancy for a driver-maintenance worker

The Comarca del Cinca Medio has announced a competitive selection process (concurso-oposición) to temporarily fill a position for a driver-maintenance worker in the Services and Waste Collection Area. The call for applications is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 160, dated Monday, August 24, 2026, and applications may be submitted for 15 calendar days starting from the day following its publication.
The rules and the call were approved by Presidency Decree 543/2026, dated August 21, and are contained in the document with reference BOPH-2026-160011, within the Local Administration section, Comarcas subsection.
The position and its functions
The position belongs to the Special Administration scale, Special Services subscale, Trade Personnel class, Group C, Subgroup C2, Level 14, as temporary labor personnel. It is linked to the Services and Waste Collection Area of the comarca and its main functions, without being exhaustive, are:
- Driving trucks and vehicles linked to the service.
- Operating a forklift.
- Maintenance of facilities, tools, machinery, and vehicles.
- Daily cleaning of facilities, tools, machinery, and vehicles.
- Assembly of stages.
- Collection of belongings/furniture.
- Any other task of a similar nature assigned by the hierarchical superior.
Applicant requirements
To be admitted, applicants must meet the requirements set forth in the second rule, including:
- Holding Spanish nationality, without prejudice to the access to public employment of nationals of other States in accordance with article 57 of Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30.
- Being at least 16 years old and not exceeding the maximum compulsory retirement age.
- Holding a Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) degree or equivalent.
- Not having been dismissed through disciplinary proceedings nor being disqualified from public employment.
- Not suffering from any illness or impediment that prevents the performance of the tasks.
- Holding a valid Category C driver’s license and a valid Certificate of Professional Competence (CAP).
Applications shall be submitted to the Entity’s Registry, either through the Electronic Office, or in person at the offices at Avda. El Pilar 47 in Monzón, or at the locations provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1. They must be accompanied by Annex I (application form), a photocopy of the ID (DNI), the qualification, the Category C license and the CAP, as well as documentation accrediting the claimed merits.
Selection process and scoring scale
The process consists of three phases with a total maximum score of 20 points:
- Competitive Examination: maximum 10 points, via a theoretical-practical questionnaire of 20 questions; each correct answer adds 0.5 points and each error subtracts 0.025, with a minimum of 5 points required to pass.
- Merit Competition: maximum 9 points, assessing professional experience (up to 6 points) and training (up to 3 points).
- Professional Interview: maximum 1 point.
The Evaluating Board will consist of a president and four members, one of whom will act as secretary, and its members must hold a qualification equal to or higher than that required. Ties will be resolved by considering, in this order, the highest score in the competitive examination, professional experience, training, and interview, and finally by public draw.
