Cifuentes aprueba un suplemento de crédito de 492.196 euros con remanente

The Plenary Session of the Cifuentes City Council initially approved, in an ordinary session held on October 27, 2026, the credit modification file number 17/2026 —file 289/2026— of the current budget, in the form of a credit supplement financed by the liquid Treasury surplus. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara number 207, dated Thursday, October 29, 2026, within the section of city council announcements. The total amount of the supplement amounts to 492,196.62 euros, which are covered entirely by the treasury surplus for general expenses.

Regulatory Framework and Processing

The modification is submitted for public information in compliance with the provisions of Article 169.1, by referral from Article 177.2, of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5. The exhibition period is fifteen days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the provincial gazette.

During this period, the file may be examined by any interested person at the municipal offices to submit any allegations deemed appropriate, and it will likewise be available on the council’s electronic office. If no allegations are presented after the deadline, the agreement will be considered definitively approved.

The announcement was signed in Cifuentes on October 27, 2026, by the mayor, Marco Antonio Campos Sanchis, and bears the verification code bf7e4f237ccb6881f91d4d8471b08b4cb6422dfb.

Distribution by Credit Pools

The supplement is distributed across five expenditure pools, with the following destinations:

  • Pool 1.2 — 152,000 euros: infrastructure and natural assets (60,000), machinery, transport and installations (30,000), fuels (4,000), machinery spare parts (4,000), other works by companies (1,000), electrical energy for water lifting and treatment plant (5,000), other supply works (23,000) and public lighting (25,000).
  • Pool 3.2 — 211,000 euros: educational buildings (33,000), fuels for educational buildings (5,000), conservation of culture and sports buildings (10,000), cultural supplies (15,000), cultural and sports activities (35,000), popular festival expenses (110,000) and other supplies (3,000).
  • Pool 3.6 — 48,596.62 euros: investments in sports facilities.
  • Pool 9.2 — 45,600 euros: state taxes (15,600) and legal and contentious expenses (30,000).
  • Pool 9.4 — 35,000 euros: transfers to the EATIM of Gárgoles de Abajo (20,000) and Gualda (15,000).

Festivals, Sports, and Current Expenditure

The two largest items are the 110,000 euros allocated to popular festivities and the 48,596.62 euros for investments in sports facilities, which together account for nearly one-third of the total. To these are added the 60,000 euros for infrastructure and natural assets, the largest individual allocation in the maintenance chapter.

The chapter with the greatest aggregate weight is current expenditure: funds 1.2 and 3.2 total 363,000 euros, 73.7 percent of the supplement, compared to the 48,596.62 euros in real investment. The remainder is distributed among state taxes, legal assistance, and contributions to the two smaller local entities within the municipal district.

Financing with Surplus

The operation is financed in its entirety from the treasury surplus of the previous year, recorded under economic application 8.87.870 as “treasury surplus for general expenses” for the same 492,196.62 euros. Therefore, no recourse to new debt or increase in tax pressure is foreseen to cover these allocations.

The impact for residents is direct: the agreement enables spending on festivities, infrastructure maintenance, water, lighting, and educational and sports equipment, and affects all taxpayers in the municipality, including those in the districts of Gárgoles de Abajo and Gualda. Any resident may consult the file and submit allegations within fifteen days following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara.
