Traffic closures for the Romería de la Ina and the Vuelta
Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Traffic Headquarters of Cádiz, under the Ministry of the Interior, has authorized a special system of dynamic traffic closures on several interurban roads in the province for the celebration of the Romería de la Ina on August 29, and the Vuelta Ciclista a España on September 10. The resolution, signed by the acting provincial chief, Ana María Zúñiga Sánchez, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cádiz number 172, dated September 7, 2026, page 2, under registration number 278.596.
The measure is adopted because both events, taking place on interurban roads, require a system that ensures traffic is “at all times as safe and fluid as possible.” The resolution is based on articles 5 and 6 of Law 6/2015, of October 30, the recast text of the Law on Traffic, Motor Vehicle Circulation, and Road Safety, as well as article 37 of Royal Decree 1428/2003, of November 21, which approves the General Circulation Regulations.
Closures for the Romería de la Ina
On August 29, 2026, for the Romería de la Ina, a dynamic traffic closure is ordered on road CA-3110, between kilometer points 7+00 and 2+500, in two time slots:
- From 10:00 to 12:30 hours.
- From 20:30 to 22:30 hours.
Closures for the Vuelta Ciclista a España
On September 10, 2026, for the Vuelta Ciclista a España, dynamic closures are established on seven roads in the province, with staggered schedules between 13:43 and 18:56 hours:
- A-2002 (pk 0+60 to 6+440), from 13:43 to 18:39 hours.
- CA-3109 (pk 0+30 to 1+930), from 13:50 to 18:42 hours.
- CA-3113 (pk 13+280 to 17+870), from 13:53 to 18:46 hours.
- CA-3108 (pk 5+230 to 0+30), from 13:57 to 18:52 hours.
- A-2003 (pk 3+250 to 3+0), from 14:03 to 18:53 hours.
- CA-3107 (pk 0+20 to 1+680), from 14:04 to 18:55 hours.
- A-4R1 (pk 1+0 to 0+0), from 14:06 to 18:56 hours.
Regulatory Framework and Scope
The resolution recalls that the General Directorate of Traffic is responsible for the organization, control, and management of traffic on interurban roads, and that the closure of a road can only be carried out on an exceptional basis and with the express prior authorization of the competent autonomous body. Dynamic closures are applied progressively and coordinated with the passage of the participants, so that the restriction is lifted once traffic can safely resume.
The measure affects drivers throughout the province, who must plan alternative itineraries and follow the signage and instructions of the officers during the indicated time slots.
