CFE awards Turbomaquinas a 72 million contract for turbogenerator maintenance

The Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) awarded Turbomaquinas, S.A. de C.V. the contract resulting from international tender CFE-0001-CASAT-0037-2025 for 72,512,000.00 pesos for the maintenance of turbogenerator trains at the C.C.C. Presidente Juárez power plant. The ruling was issued on November 28, 2025, and the award notice was published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in the First Section, under reference (R.- 580459).

The notice was issued by the Procurement Sub-management of the Supply Management of the CFE, located at Río Ródano No. 14, 4th Floor, Room 401, Cuauhtémoc Borough, C.P. 06500, Mexico City, and electronically signed by the sub-manager L.A. José Aurelio de la Vega Ángeles. This is an Open International Tender Under the Coverage of Free Trade Agreements, a procedure provided for in the General Provisions Regarding Procurement, Leasing, Contracting of Services, and Execution of Works of the CFE.

The procedure was resolved by items, and the published amount corresponds to the sum of the two items awarded to a single bidder; the notice does not report other winning bidders.

The object of the contract

The contracted service comprises the maintenance of two turbogenerator trains at the C.C.C. Presidente Juárez:

• Turbogenerator train consisting of intermediate-low and high-pressure steam turbines and the speed reducer of unit 9.
• Turbogenerator train consisting of intermediate-low and high-pressure steam turbines, an electric generator, and the speed reducer of unit 11.

The company had already been awarded another CFE procedure announced in the same bulletin on September 8, 2026: tender CFE-0001-CASAT-0006-2026, for the rehabilitation of 25 MW steam turbine components of Unit 12 of the C.G. Cerro Prieto, for 56,001,570.31 pesos, with a ruling dated June 10, 2026.

Publication and traceability

The notice appears in the First Section of the Official Gazette of the Federation on September 22, 2026, page 215, under reference (R.- 580459), and is signed by the Procurement sub-manager. Publication in the official organ is the mechanism by which the CFE announces the rulings of its international tenders.

For energy sector providers, the notice confirms that the maintenance of steam turbines at the C.C.C. Presidente Juárez was covered by a 72.5 million peso contract and that Turbomaquinas, S.A. de C.V. is consolidating its position as a recurring awardee for turbogenerator rehabilitation services for the CFE.
