Cervo rectifies the deadline for the Site Manager position

The Cervo City Council corrects a material error detected in clause 4.2 of the regulatory bases of the selection process for the provision of one position of Chief of Works, subgroup C2, by competitive examination in the internal promotion round. The rectification, agreed upon by Mayoral Resolution no. 888/2026, of September 11, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo no. 212, of September 16, 2026 (reference R. 2451), and reopens a new period of twenty business days for applicants.

An error in clause 4.2

The bases and the call for applications were approved by Mayoral Decree no. 2026-0749, of August 19, 2026, to fill permanently one (1) position of Chief of Works, framed in subgroup C2 and belonging to the permanent labor staff of the council. The full text was published in the BOP of Lugo no. 194, of August 26, 2026, and the announcement of the call in the Official Gazette of Galicia no. 167, of September 3, 2026.

Having noticed the material error in clause 4.2, the resolution issued in file no. 1527/2026 agreed to its rectification, which is now worded in the following terms:

• «4.2. The period for submitting applications shall be TWENTY (20) BUSINESS DAYS, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement of the call in the Official Gazette of Galicia (DOG).»

New deadline and validity of applications

Consequently, a new period of twenty (20) business days is opened for the submission of applications, which will begin to count from the day following the publication of the rectification announcement in the Official Gazette of Galicia. Applications submitted prior to the publication of this rectification will be considered fully valid and effective, without prejudice to the right of interested parties to submit a new application or provide complementary documentation during the new enabled period.

The rest of the regulatory bases remain unchanged. The resolution is signed by the mayor, M.ª Dolores García Caramés, in Cervo, on September 11, 2026.

A process with specific requirements

The selection process, by internal promotion, requires the permanent labor staff of the council to prove a minimum of two years of effective service and belong to the Professional Group (vertical promotion) or to the same subgroup C2 in another category (horizontal promotion), in addition to knowledge of the Galician language (CELGA level 3) and a class B driver’s license.

The rectification ensures that no applicant is disadvantaged by the detected error, by reopening the deadline and maintaining the validity of the applications already submitted, in a process that directly affects those opting for a permanent labor staff position in the council.
