Cervo announces a vacancy for a General Administration Technician

The Cervo City Council has approved the bases and the call for the filling, as career civil servant personnel, of one position for General Administration Technician (subgroup A2), through a free competitive examination system. The decision was adopted by Mayoral Resolution no. 2026-0745, dated August 19, 2026, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo no. 194, on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 (reference R. 2280).

The position is framed within the General Administration Scale, Management Subscale, with a full-time schedule and a single vacancy. The deadline for submitting applications will be 20 business days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official State Gazette (BOE), from which date the period is computed.

One position included in the 2025 job offer

The vacancy appears in the Public Employment Offer (OEP) of the Cervo City Council for the 2025 fiscal year, approved by Mayoral Decree no. 2025-1193, dated November 19, 2025, and published in the BOP of Lugo no. 271, on November 25, 2025. Likewise, it is included in the career civil servant personnel framework approved with the General Budget of the Council for 2026, published in the BOP of Lugo no. 002, on January 3, 2026. The file is processed under number 1524/2026.

Requirements and required qualifications

Applicants must meet the general requirements of article 56 of the TREBEP and Law 2/2015 on public employment in Galicia, including:

• Spanish nationality or nationality of an EU Member State, under legal terms.
• Official university degree (Grao) or equivalent, including:
  • Degree in Law.
  • Degree in Legal Sciences of Public Administrations.
  • Double Degree in Law and Business Administration and Management, Law and Political Science, or Law and Economics.
• Knowledge of the Galician language at the CELGA 4 level or equivalent, or passing the specific test.

Submission of applications

Applications shall be formalized according to the official model of Annex I, addressed to the Mayoralty-Presidency of the Cervo City Council, and may be submitted:

• Electronically, through the General Electronic Registry of the Cervo City Council (https://cervo.sedelectronica.es).
• By any of the means provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015.

Along with the application, a copy of the DNI, the qualification, the merits claimed for the competition phase and, if applicable, the CELGA 4 certificate must be attached. The provisional list of admitted and excluded candidates will be published in the BOP of Lugo and on the municipal electronic office, with a ten-business-day period for corrections.

A reinforcement for municipal management

The call for applications responds to the need to provide qualified technical-legal personnel for the municipal management of Cervo, in a position with functions of advising governing bodies, and the preparation of reports and opinions on matters such as procurement, urban planning, personnel, and local finance. For graduates in Law and public management from the region, it represents an opportunity for permanent access to the local civil service, in a process that will be developed and resolved, at most, within a non-extendable period of three years from the publication of the call.
