Por FactBox Admin

The Celanova City Council is presenting the General Account corresponding to the 2025 financial year for public inspection for a period of fifteen days, so that all interested parties may submit any claims, objections, or observations they deem appropriate. The announcement, signed by Mayor Antonio Puga Rodríguez, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense on August 28, 2026, in section IV for Local Entities.
This procedure is in accordance with the provisions of Article 212 of the consolidated text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5. The General Account was previously reported by the Special Accounts Commission, the body that audits the accounting documentation before the file is submitted for public knowledge.
A municipal transparency procedure
The public exhibition of the General Account is one of the control and transparency mechanisms that local regime legislation provides to residents. During the fifteen-day period, any person who considers themselves interested may examine the documentation and make allegations regarding the council’s economic management for the 2025 financial year.
The procedure allows citizens to directly monitor the destination of municipal public funds before the General Account is submitted for final approval by the plenary. The observations submitted must be evaluated by the corporation during the accountability process.
