Castuera approves its 2026 public employment offer with four positions

The Castuera City Council has approved its Public Employment Offer (OEP) for the 2026 fiscal year, which provides for the call for four positions through the open competitive examination system. The decision, adopted by Mayoral decree on September 9, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 174, dated September 11, 2026, under Announcement 3568/2026.
The offer stems from the consolidated municipal budget for 2026, approved by the Plenary in the session of July 30, 2026, and definitively published in the provincial gazette on August 31, 2026. The file has the favorable report of the General Secretariat dated September 9, 2026, and is based on the competence that article 21.1.g) of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, attributes to the Mayor to approve the employment offer in accordance with the budget and the staff approved by the Plenary.
The four positions called
The 2026 OEP consists of three civil servant positions and one permanent labor staff position, all through the open competitive examination selection system:
- Administrative Officer (General Secretariat), group C1, level 16 — 1 position.
- Administrative Assistant (Treasury), group C2, level 14 — 1 position.
- Administrative Assistant (Census/General Secretariat), group C2, level 14 — 1 position.
- General Foreman of Works and Services, permanent labor staff, Special Administration scale, group equivalent to C1 by access qualification — 1 position.
Publication and call deadlines
The agreement orders the publication of the offer on the Corporation’s notice board, on the City Council’s electronic headquarters (castuera.sedelectronica.es), in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz, and in the Official Gazette of Extremadura. The offered positions must be called in execution of this offer within a non-extendable period of three years, counted from the date of its publication.
Appeals and signature
Against the agreement, which ends the administrative route, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the Mayor within one month from the day following publication, or a direct challenge may be filed before the competent Contentious-Administrative Court within two months, in accordance with Law 39/2015, of October 1, and Law 29/1998, of July 13. The decree is signed by the Mayor-President, Francisco Martos Ortiz.
